It was initially assumed it would be, like the rings and boots.
That was corrected to a 3 year.

The kilt is definitely 3 year. This will bring with it a 4 set power.

Nowhere is it written that the other powers will not also change when the 4 item power is announced.

A 4th year kilt would be good :)

Why would it be bad for coaches if there were 3 different kilts?

I am guessing the concern lies among the area that the number of us who use a character gen program or the excel sheets is still low...

I know I use the program (seriously, one of the best uses of 3 bucks I have done) but that may be a minimal percent of us.

For the monster trophy transmute, I'm thinking this could be our long-awaited Ioun Stone Relic.

Our recent adventure has been centered around:
  • Hopping across planes
  • Chasing a Mind Slayer
  • Hunting for the Teeth of Cavadar

So, my suggestion is something along the lines of:

Ioun Stone Prismatic Ovoid -
  • -2 damage from psychic abilities
  • Bestows psychic powers
  • Psychic power may be used additional times per additional source bestowing power

Way too much text for a token, I know...

That may be more inline for the teeth of cavadar. But I like where you are going.

I think a bead would be good. Speak with Dead, Comprehend languages, +2 Con, Regenerate 1/room

I still would like the opening of a psionisist class with the teeth.

Multi year transmute:

"Fiddy's Cents": (slotless) +2 Con, can throw back up to 3 tokens you do not like and then redraw 3.

I think it is a bit early for the bead slot. We just added it, it can wait for a monster transmute (maybe once we capture the Mind Slayer).

While I wouldn't turn down the +2 Con and Regen, it feels too similar to the Icecrag Earcuff.

If there is a 4 piece, all we know for sure at this point is that we dont know

I'm fairly certain it's been announced there will be no 4 piece bonus, but there will be a 5 piece bonus.

i am fairly certain you are wrong about that.

Jeff said someday there would be a fourth set bonus. i cannot find him saying anything about a fifth.

You're right!

I got mixed up - I remember Jeff's announcement surprised me - the surprise was that we'll have 4 eldritch pieces in 2019 and 2020, but no 4 piece bonus until the Teeth come out in 2021.

Maybe something more like +2 to three stats, free movement, leaping attack 1/room?

That would be perfect.

It does seem like Free Movement would be a very fitting ability for a Kilt. Although, as much as I'd love it to be included, Leaping Attack might result in some images that are difficult to erase. ;)

LOL!

Free movement is definitely a kilt ability!

I'm thinking +3 to each, free movement, and being an eldritch piece would be a good set of powers.

I could see going to +4, or adding some other power.

Creating 3 different kilts would be interesting.

I'm already thinking that +6 strength would be too much for this year's UR kilt without significant negatives.

I don’t think so if as in previous tokens the -4 were to con. Causing loss of 8 to 10 hp would cause many to think twice about equipping.

Although, reading his quote, " That being said, there will someday be a 4th Eldritch item...and at that time I plan on giving Druids and Rangers a little extra bonus.", perhaps the 4 item Eldritch Bonus is just a little something for the Druids & Rangers, as Jeff said. I think he was saying that because the Level 3 bonus didn't include the Druids & Rangers. And yes, I do understand that the Druids & Rangers got their level bump at 2 items. I think Jeff always intended that the Druids and Rangers were more attuned to Eldritch Energy.

i don’t think the kilt was an idea at the time.
