Most charms are not turned in. Perhaps they were put on the website “in” the charm slot to make them easy to find in the future when we are not all following links provided?

huh? Most charms? what other charms are turned in? they do occupy the charm slot see the description.

I suspect it's a design decision. Something to break up the phenomena of locked slots.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this sort of thing in other slots in future years. Medallions of Transmorph? Earcuffs?

One RoSP run is plenty for me.

Sure, I’d take one too, want to lend one to me? Or better yet ten? Last time I looked one RoSP was out of my price range, I would still love to do a run of all RoSP characters with my friends though.

I’m not being petulant when I say that if that’s what it does, I’ll sell/trade/give our charms to someone who will enjoy them more. The number of RoSP owners is a small percentage of the total player base, so I get why many who haven’t had the opportunity to play them would jump at the chance to, and I don’t blame them.

All I’m saying is, some will think a ten-player prestige run would be a blast. Some don’t. I’m in the latter group. You’re in the former. That’s fine. I’m not lobbying for or against any particular decision. It will be almost impossible for Jeff to make everyone happy, no matter what he decides.

They’re a bonus. No one expected them. Whatever they do is fine with me. A Prestige run would disappoint me but it’s not going to upset me. He’s done Patron-only events; maybe this will be targeted towards lucky non-patrons.

We don't use any of our RoSP vouchers, none of the prestige classes appeal to me more than the regular classes. Although we did regularly use the Bard sub-class back when it gave a treasure stamp. :)

Glad we agree!

I get that you’d sell your charm tokens if that was the case, but to avoid the part of my statement that gave a new player a run they would probably not get again (unless charms are a recurring thing) since the RoSP is not manufacturable again was highly upsetting. I’ll put the “generic” $250 a year purchaser player into that group also, unless things change as I said. The idea that the elite would be put off by the idea that it might give them a second run they already get once a year, and so it is below them and they would also take the time to remove the conversation of the rest of their community, sir, is the problem I had. Call me what you will, petulant, socialist, numbskull, bard ;) chaotic or soap boxer but your disrespect was much larger than I believe you realize.

Just be glad he didn't delete your quote completely and replace it with something like "blah, blah, blah". ;)

As a RoSP owner, If one of the effects from which to choose is “play as Prestige,” I would not object. I just wouldn’t be happy if it were the only option.

I'm inclined to agree with this.
I do t feel quite as strongly as Mike though, as there are a couple classes I think are quite fun. The Troubador has enhance bardsong, which is great. The Templar can crit anything (not as impressive now, but still good) and the Assassin has a lot of nostalgic value for me.
Plus the Summoner is quite cool.

Holy smokes there is a lot more info there than I realized. I just read the short description as it seemed complete. Moar words to look into!

“Each effect is accompanied by a slight change in appearance”

I have been thinking more about this. Choose +2 to Dex and you wear Elf ear through the dungeon. choose +2 Str and you get inflatable Popeye arms to wear. Choose +1 Treasure and you wear a crown with a L on it. +2 to magic damage you get Harry Porry glasses to wear. It would be fun to see what everyone choose by what they wear.

I remember one of the earlier years when there was a small chest of drawers, and something different happened depending on which you opened. Our Paladin Ed (who happened to be the tallest player in our group) was turned into a halfling and had to walk on his knees for the rest of the Dungeon. Which for him was just one or two more rooms before he died and Death escorted him out. Ed's the only other member of our initial group that has played every single year. :)
