Might it be possible to get it at GC next year? I assume not, but I can hope.

Unless you run into a WIGHT who LEVEL DRAINS you!

You should have that in Grind - a wight or vampire - on a successful attack, lose a level - cross off 5th level spells, abilities, HP, etc.!

Uh, actually I HAVE done that before.

Level drain in Grind, where one of the effects includes marking off higher level spells.

Druegar wrote: The token does not say "Free bag check", it says you are a member of the AG.

That is true. But hasn't membership in AG in the last few years also included the bag check? Or am I getting it mixed up with something else?

Yes, currently AG members can use the bag check.

I think Druegar is just pointing out that hand wringing over whether there will be enough space in the bag check several years from now as a result of this token is, perhaps, a tad premature.

great point.

while a free bag check has been part of membership there have also been small quests for members. A few years ago you could win something, a badge holder from memory.

It would be easy for the bag check to be reworked and something else, some other quirk like that quest be done.

This works on a lot of levels

Thanks Jeff!

These cannot be sold or lent out to others. It has a very small in-game benefit, but I thought it would be nice to give that to such long-time players.

Jeff, you probably can't prohibit them from being sold (at least not effectively). There have been plenty of Medallions of Nobility sold, there will likely be some of these sold as well. But, you can say that they are soul-bound, and that the benefits from it only work for you and not for anyone else. That would be pretty easy to enforce, as the person in the Bag Check room can have a listing of the people that are 9th level or higher. And they can check the GENCON badge versus the name for added security.

What if the *token* said that it "requires 9th level player" on it?

I will see if it will fit. Thanks.

A couple of alternate suggestions that would take up less room are "Non-Transferable" or "Soul-Bound".

Since making new artifacts is not a thing, it could go a step further: "Soulbound to <player's name>"

Probably not a big deal now, but could become more of a hassle as time goes on. But I'd take that over the +1 AC

If that were feasible/affordable to do, it would be really neat.

Back to unshared fantasies: and if they were epynomous, I'd lose my mind. (It's the only way I'll ever get a token named after me.)

But I know, it's asking for the moon, and I won't qualify until at least 2018.

Even without any of that, still very cool.

Four years out for me. Unless we add ways to get more than 4k a year? (Not serious, yet serious)

Maybe the 10th level perk is having a special token printed for you, with your name on it.

Great, so I'd get one in 2026.
