I'm sure the alt class opportunity will be nice, and I suspect it's only a matter of time before it is open to all players, but I still want to lobby for the number one element that makes TD thrilling. It's not tokens, sorry - it is and always will be clever and innovative dungeons that challenge and exceed the thrills of the previous dungeons.

I am very confident that it was stated that the transmute cost for the rod would be the segments plus one of each trade good, just like the supreme ring. it was said that would be the standard for all eldritch items. now, that isn't saying that jeff cant change his mind, but as for what was said before, I am/was sure enough of that standard that years ago I already set aside two ziplock bags with one of each trade good and a checklist for the rod segments.

That is my memory also, that it is standard transmute cost for all Eldritch Items.

It would be wonderful to be able to use the subclasses on a single run, once per adventure. It could be easy to implement as well- the certificate you collect when you check in your rod could have a check box for each adventure that gets ticked off when you activate your subclass. The ability to use it once per adventure would really push the rod into the eldritch reward level that I was hoping for during the last seven years!

And I'm expecting one of each trade token as well- seems to be the established spot for eldritch transmutes.

Or maybe the player card you get is the player card you get...

If that turns out to be the case, I'm back on the fence about making it.

That's a cool idea; the only way to prevent someone from playing with a dead character would be to take their player card, though. I'm not sure that I'd like that, personally.

Or mark it somehow, perhapse a ghost checkbox.
As a sidebar, do you need to claim the base card for your class
ie could you play assassin even if there was already a rogue?

Brad, if you don't transmute them I'd recommend selling or trading the segments before the trade deadline. I expect the value of segments #1 and #2 to drop significantly after the trade deadline.

For those counting, I will be completing a rod as well.

Or, if it's the only one not transmuted, it could become worth ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS! MUWAHAHAHAHA

Good idea--and simple enough.

Unless there are other pucks added, I'd bet that the subclasses count against the one-per-class party limits.

Why not ask to use the subclasses once per year per adventure per puzzle/combat per level (goblin/normal/hardcore/nightmare) per day?
