TOPIC: Character Customization (new token type?)

Re: Character Customization (new token type?) 11 years 3 weeks ago #13

Great ideas gang, love the idea of a feat slot and limited to one really cool thing...that you train for via truefeats type thing in the storyscape. I agree with Brad, these should be tokens not hand stamps and some by class.

If I'm remembering correctly, at the Saturday night meet up at Who's Yer Con (which was amazing and much thanks to Jeff and the rest of the panel up there, and the front row, for there time) Jeff said he wasn't sure if there would be a ticketed Truecraft this year for a variety of reasons. Instead he was considering making the treasure pull process a little more immersive, where for example, if you were more interested in Monster parts you would visit the alchemist and draw from a box weighed heavier toward monster parts. Not sure how formalized this was or whether Jeff was just thinking out loud. But you could include this feat training in that them as well. The only danger would be that it might be too popular.

I believe this was mentioned last year, but I could be wrong. I would rather use the treasure chips like Trucraft tokens. It would be nice to run quests that weren't specific to the dungeons that year, as we all saw issues with the Earcuff that let you avoid falling rock damage. Maybe a chance to win healing potions/scrolls or even trade items for future Transmuting.

Very true, Brad. I am just in favor of class-specific bonuses. It adds variety to the game and makes each character feel special when they can do something no one else in the party can. Hand stamps seemed the most simple and cheapest way to do this in a True Craft setting. Using tokens is definitely a better way.
I make chainmail! Check out www.ArcadianChain.com for chainmail jewelry and accessories, including token holders, dice bags, and d20 keychains.

I am sure most people would, lol. I should have elaborated. Make the healing stronger than the items we already have or maybe 1/dungeon tokens. Just throwing the idea out there.
