TOPIC: Artisan Token in the Treasure Map Chests

Rumor has it that Gaming Etc found an Artisan Token in one of their very many Treasure Map pulls. This has caused some controversy regarding how the Artisan Token ended up there, and if this is consistent with the previous mention of only 4 copies of each Artisan Token in existence. Here is a thread to discuss (or not discuss) this issue.

Michelle told me that she did find one in the boxes. It shouldn't be an issue though, as 4 of each were made, with two of each auctioned, one of each put in the treasure boxes that year, and one of each kept by Jeff. Since not all of the ones in the Treasure Boxes were found that year, Jeff has 1-2 of each in his possession, so he had a few on hand to put one or more into the Treasure Map boxes.

I know that Jeff had those artisan tokens as I was the volunteer that went through all of the the treasure chests that year at the end of the con and pulled out the artisan tokens. Big thumbs up to Jeff for putting those in this year's ancient treasure boxes!

Mike is right. Michelle did pull a Gnome Medallion. I had it in my hot little hands for a short time. It was still in her display case as of Noon sunday.

how much was she asking for it?

She didn't have it marked, but was entertaining offers. With it being only 1 of 4 in existance, what could it bring? $500.00 maybe?

Hi guys,

I did get a Gnome Medallion and I do still have it. I was told it was worth around 500.00. If anyone is interested and has an offer let me know. When we get everything sorted we may put it up on Ebay for auction. Or at a fixed price on the site, not sure yet. I did not put it in my case at first because someone asked me to put it aside. They never showed up though so it is up for grabs. In any case I feel special to have one.

one sold on Ebay for over 400.00 right before Gencon. Multiple people told me about the auction and the value. No need to laugh at me.

I think the $400-$500 range is very reasonable. I would not sell mine for less than $600.

Other than being horrifically rare, what does this particular token do?
