Unless I'm mistaken, Jeff has not forbade anyone from getting a second Arcane Recipe. So unless that's no longer in effect, you have every right to get one and I support that right. If you do get a second, I will congratulate you and be jealous because if I had the resources I'd snap up as many of them as possible.

That said, there is a part of me that hopes you don't. It's not that I think you (or anyone else for that matter) don't deserve to have more than one, I just think it's likely to generate ill will—both toward you and True Dungeon in general—by further separating the token rich from the token poor.

IMHO, I'm fine with them being removed from the treasure draws because it reduces the chances of situations where people are taking advantage of those who might not know better or getting an arcane recipe purely through financial buying power from occurring as a result.

Didn't someone pay 1000 dollars for the one that was pulled last year??? That is not taking advantage of anyone, that's a pretty fair price.

But isn't the auction exactly what that is? Buying power? I have a lot more cash than GP. What is the difference if I buy gold for cash and then get the recipe or just pay cash for the recipe? And frankly, at the auction you don't 'win' things- you buy them at a price no one else wants to meet. The draw adds chance and odds into it. If someone sells it for cheap that is their problem. If I sell anything I own for cheap or before I know the value I am a fool. And if it is pulled by someone under 18, then technically their legal guardian has to approve it. The property of my chattel (child) is my property.

I think Jeff said you needed to complete several physical challenges to get a second one.

i don't like the physical challenge aspect. now if you want to talk about beer drinking are food consumption...
