TOPIC: Token Guide 2010 (9.0) Feedback

Re: Token Guide 2010 (9.0) Feedback 13 years 11 months ago #25

I hope [the 4C token] is so amazing that it makes us put our Horns of Plenty and Medallions of Greyhawk and Amulets of Wonder down and use this new one

A brand new amulet of awesomeness would definitely be cool, but I think all the token fiends (me included) are gonna have a hard time prying the Horn of Plenty off of our sternums. ;)
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

It is an evolving thing, if you have confirmed examples, go ahead and send them to me. However, I had not intended the misprint list to include typos/misspellings/etc. rather to list those tokens for which the fronts and backs did not match...

Dave
[/quote]

I was talking about a misprint. The "Exiler of Life" in 2005a is a typo, but the "Exiler of Life" with a 2005b back is a misprint, because the normal 2005b Elixer of Life is spelled correctly. I can get you a list of all the ones I've confirmed and own.

The Armor (Other) chart on page 38 shows the Dragonscale Helmet as Bard usable, however the token listed does not, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me.
Sweet a combat room, we won't take damage!

You probably need to revise the description on the Girdle of Hill Giant Strength as to which characters will benefit depending upon the charater stats this year?

1. The descriptions of the bard instruments say the extra damage only applies to melee attacks. But, page 27 of the ranged weapon rules says that ranged weapons are treated identically to melee attacks with regards to Bard Song or a Bless.

2. The bonuses for the Lyre of Rage are backwards. It should be +2 to hit and +1 to damage.

3. Creeper Vine Extract should mention you are also +1 to Reflex saves, as the Potion of Cat's Grace mentions you are +2.

Natural (unmodified) Bard's Song applies to all attacks, the tokens were restricted to augment melee only.

Regarding Runestone Fitting Bases. (RFB)

I distinctly remember that it was 2 RFBs per weapon.

The guide now indicates only one per weapon.

Can we revisit this issue as it has a direct bearing on the number of RFBs I was planning on selecting as PYPs. It may affect others too.

Thanks

Jim

Jim,
I went back and looked for, but could not find a discussion about that. When I asked Jeff about this while editing the guide. He clearly said one runestone per adventure unless you had the fitting base, then you could use one more rare for two total.

I really do not have any say in this so you really need to discuss it with Jeff, specifically how the ruling affects your UR choices.

Sorry,

Dave
