TOPIC: Token Guide 2010 (9.0) Feedback

Whoa, that limit on one charm kinda came up suddenly. Kinda disappointing considering I picked up a couple more charms in my UR picks this year.<br /><br /><br />Feedback:<br /><br />Page 16: I believe the Pugio and +1 Pugio are considered daggers (they have the same stats at least) and should be moved to the daggers section.<br /><br />Page 45, Hand of Glory has both a wood token and chip version.<br /><br />Page 49, Mithral Gauntlets: "and" in the second sentence should be "an"<br /><br />Page 68, Oil of Smiting: word "ahs" probably meant to be "has"<br /><br />Page 70, Wolfsbane Extract: The token mentions "1 per Room" and the text reads "once per adventure". Is this a typo?<br /><br />Page 72, Goblet of Healing: the words "the is" at the end of the first line should either be "this" or just drop the "is"<br /><br />Page 75, Holy Symbol of Pelor: I believe this is the wrong token image. At least the one I have does not match.<br /><br />In the Rings Section, Ring of Feather Fall, Ring of Fire Resistance, and Ring of Frost Resistance are each listed twice. Once as a wood token and once in chip form.<br /><br />Page 86, Wand of Magic Missiles: The token reads 6 damage and the text say 5.<br /><br />Page 95, Shortbow, Orchorn, +1: I believe "just to tell the barbarian" should be "just don't tell the barbarian". If so, I love this description!<br /><br />Page 109, Rod of Seven Parts - Part 1: I believe this is the wrong image and description. The one that I have says just +1 to HP not +2...<br /><br /><br />

<br />It is listed on page 5 under charms.  I'm not sure if they meant one charm of each kind, or one total charm. (should "any" be "each'?)

Dave,<br /><br />Great job on the Token Guide!  Here are a few comments for you to consider:<br /><br />Perhaps the wording on the Charms should be similar to the wording on amulets / rings.  Instead of saying only one can be carried, maybe say that there is one slot for a charm, so only one can be active at a time, and it takes a turn to switch from one to the other.  You could even combine them all into one section pretty easily, adding Charms to the existing Amulet & Rings section.  <br /><br />You have Necklace of Fireballs listed twice on the list of One-Use items.  <br /><br />Possibly add the restriction of one Charm per adventure to the paragraph under "Equipment".  <br /><br />On page 23, Gearon's is mispelled.  <br /><br />The picture of the wooden +1 Bracers of Defense is missing (there are actually a lot of pictures of the wooden versions of tokens missing, I noticed a bunch of them in Scrolls for instance).  Is it the intent to show both the wooden and chip pictures when a token exists in both forms, or did I misunderstand that?  I did see that in some cases, like the Ring of Regeneration, both versions are shown.  <br /><br />Chip photo of Ring of Fire Resistance & Ring of Feather Fall not shown (this may go for other tokens also, I wasn't really looking for that).  <br /><br />I saw earlier that the Trade Item Combo Items can be traded in by mail as well as at GENCON.  Can you trade in for them by mail prior to GENCON?  It looks like a couple of those items would be very handy versus Smoak.  <br /><br />The misprints list isn't complete.  For instance, there is an Elixer of Life misprint, with the 2005a front (spelled Exiler) and 2005b back.  I also have some confirmed misprints that aren't shown as confirmed on your list.  <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />

<br /><br />I think that's supposed to be a platinum token.  The colors in the picture are off a bit (probably due to lighting).

<br /><br />The wooden tokens are shown when there is no replacement chip, but I have been lazy about removing the wooden ones.  I am trying to make those changes over time...<br /><br /><br />

<br /><br />It is an evolving thing, if you have confirmed examples, go ahead and send them to me.  However, I had not intended the misprint list to include typos/misspellings/etc.  rather to list those tokens for which the fronts and backs did not match...<br /><br />Dave
