Responsive design is all the rage. It gives the illusion of simplifying maintenance because you only have one code base.

I say "illusion" because there are so many mobile devices, OSs, and browsers that you have to have much more complex code for things to look right on all of them. In the long run, I'm not sure it buys you anything.

But, like everyone else said. If there was a way to just view this site, or almost any other, in non-mobile mode, I would flip that switch so hard...

That's my biggest peeve with eBay's site. It lets you choose to view desktop, for a screen or two anyway, then sneaks you back into mobile. I've pretty much stopped using it when I'm not at home.

Agreed. Seems it's like a fad like so many others that sounded like a great idea but when put into practice but then ended up being more of hassle once it was actually implemented heavily (ASP.NET webforms...im looking at you)

I'm having issues on my iPad with frequent log outs. If I look at a profile, I'm often logged out when I go back to the forums either back using the back button or hitting the "forum" button.

If I refresh the recent topics view, I'm often logged out.

And yes, I have clicked the "remember me" box.

On the old version when you clicked "Forum" at the bottom of a page it used to take me back to the root now it seems to be taking me to the recent topics tab. Is there any way to reverse this behavior?

We will be working on many of your suggestions over the next few days. We did make it so the PMs are visible on mobile, and we did improve the android and Ipad layouts.

For what it is worth, the site seems to be working pretty well on my phone. (iPhone6 IOS 8.3) I can check messages. All the forum headers are easy to get at. It adjusts well between portrait and landscape. Login and logout are easy to get to on the screen. Mostly for me, all I do on the phone is check the forums and that works great, and is easier to read than it was before the change. So far, I like it.

I will check out the iPad tomorrow.

I just noticed it truncated my signature. Must me a new space limitation.

PayPal is having issues, which isn't really your problem.

But the one order I was trying to place is now 3. None have been paid for as PayPal is not working right but they all say they are paid. There isn't any other way to clear these out on my end or to pay them since they think they are paid.

I am presently running on my iPad, and it's working well. I haven't had any logout issues. It looks really similar to what I see on my desktop. I am running IOS 8.3 on the iPad also.

I had logout issues on my iPad and iPhone. Maybe it was because I was switching between the two? Never had the issue with the old site. I used to be able to be logged in for weeks or months at a time without having to do so again.
