TOPIC: Jeff and Lori will be offline for a few days

Thanks for posting Doug.  Here's the deal....<br /><br />Tragedy has struck our family yet again.  My Mom went into the hospital late last week for some abdominal pain.  Jeff and I made the decision on 7/4 to drive up there as it sounded like they may do surgery to see what was going on.  Long story short, a few minutes after arriving in the Quad Cities my Mom came out of surgery, but was not doing well.  Shortly after a briefing with the surgeon about the severity of the situation a Code Blue To ICU was called and we knew that was her.<br /><br />She did not survive.<br /><br />My family is still reeling from losing Schuyler on February 24th and now we face the loss of our rock.  She was our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Aunt, and my best girl friend.  <br /><br />Please pray or think of us at this time as we try to find the strength to say goodbye to the source of strength of our family.<br /><br />Lori

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.  As several have said, you have friends here who care about you.  You may have to physically say goodbye now to your source of so many good things, but as the shock recedes and time heals, you will realized that in many powerful ways your mother will continue to be your "beloved Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Aunt, and . . . best girl friend," and provide you with a great source of strength.  May God bless you with the strength and understanding you need in your hours of sorrow and loss.<br /><br /><br />Dennis and Dani
