TOPIC: Poker for Tokens?

What could be more fun than playing Poker with player tokens at stake in the tavern? ^_^


Anyone interested? hehe.


What can I say? Texas Hold'em is one of my more favorite card games.

There'd be an awful lot of debate about the chip value of various items. As much time would be spent negotiating/arguing over what represented an equivalent bet, as there would be on playing the game.

A fun idea, but prone to fights :-P

It's a tavern... aren't there supposed to be a few brawl fights? Armed with a mug of brawling, we'll be good to go. :twisted: :twisted:


But seriously, I thought more for fun, and not anything too serious of 'value' persay. Just something to do at a table.

Of course you could always play for gold pieces... or if you want to be REALLY crazy, you could even play for silver pieces! 8)

How about next year if we cant get Jeff to convert part of the Tavern as a mini-casino. It be a Good way to get rid of all that Extra Gold. Plus They could, at the Tavern or at one of the many places in the Back Alley, be Variuos Rare Items for Insane Amount of money. Like in the Temple could have a Elixer of Life for I dont know 25,000 gold and up. Or a special Rare item that could be only bought for, i don't know, any where from couple hundred thousand to a million gold.

I'm up for it. I love gambling... especially for Gold Pieces.

Tell the door person I said it was okay to bring in a deck of cards. Remember though, the house gets a cut of any winnings!

What kinda rake is the house getting?

At the point when your gp value has reached 5 digits you should be able to get the Sack O Cash Token which has melee damage listed. Cards does sound tempting. The True Dungeon Texas Hold 'em Competition. The TDTHEC. lol

Umm...gambling is illegal in both Indiana AND Gen Con world -- even though it is not real money. Please don't get us shut down people.

What you do in your hotel room is your business, though.
