TOPIC: Favorite Gen Con moments... (not including TD)

You should mail that to Peter as a suggestion. Odds are good that he'll go with it after Lucas finishes reaming his wallet. Either that or we'll probably see a VVIG program started up next year.

lol, yeah, I can see it as well.  10 years ago, I might have chased her down.  But not now, Im a much different person then I was 10 years ago.

Most of my favorite GC moments aren't fit for a public forum.  :evil4:<br /><br />Many of the ones that can be posted are TD related. I've met so many friends there, and sometimes I really miss not being there the whole con. I love pouncing everyone, seeing the latest costumes, chatting with Fritz, making Gary blush, commiserating with Dave, etc, etc. <br /><br />Non-TD ones include last years Stink, the dance at SoCal 2006 (RIP SoCal), Lounging with the Lizard at the Ram last year, and drooling over things in the dealer hall. Especially dice. I :love4: dice.

the pirate girl last year for pirates of the burning seas...she was hot lol...no in all seriousness i would have to say my favorite gencon moment was then i got 4th place in the prey tournie 2 years ago i was proud of myself lol

My favorite GC moment had to be last year, some of my friends came up and hung out with me for a couple hours a day. It was nice having my regular game group around, although I didn't get to stay up till 7am playing random games and just hanging out in the con hall, still good times.

Seeing (and then ordering) the 3D anniversary edition of Settlers was pretty kewl.<br />

Friend of a friend won a copy of that at origins last year.

These are many, many years old...I'm not even sure it was Gen Con actually it's been so long and I've been to so many cons over the years they blend a bit.<br /><br />First, being in a Star Fleet Battles tournie, thinking I'd be long done before I had to leave to run my D&D event but I actually kept wining rounds till I had to 'self destruct' my ship to go run my event. A short time later I was tracked down by everyone that was there and given the second place award. They had all voted that I probably would have won if I had been able to stay to the end and all agreed I should get something from it. <br /><br />A follow up...the guy who won and I had a match later, just between us to see what woulda happened. <br /><br />The second - how long has it been since there's been a 'Partha Mini's' event? Anyways, I played in several events at many cons, and early on I always ended up being the commander of the bad guys. The evil necromancer, invading barbarian, etc...so I started getting called 'The Dark Lord'. There was a girl (big crush on her too) that was known as 'The Elf Princess' as she always commanded the good guys. It became a tradition that there was a lot of smack talkin' all con between us and that the game didn't officially start till we got nose to nose, glaring at each other, with loud exchanges of "You're goin' down!" "Bring it on!" until one of us said "Let's get it ON!" <br /><br />Good times.<br />

I think this happened the 2nd year at Indy....not a "favorite" moment, but a funny one, nonetheless.<br /><br />Jeff, Drake, and I were sitting in the McDonald's in the Hyatt having some lunch.  Way down the hall I can see this group of girls walking toward us in full Anime costume.  One had cobalt blue hair and another had kelly green hair.  I glance at them, then back at Jeff and say "Oh my".  Well, a couple of minutes later they walk right behind us and Drake (gotta love kids) says really loudly "OH MY".<br /><br />I was a tad embarrassed...gotta watch what you say in front of those kiddos!<br /><br />Lori
