<br />$200 is warrant enough to not bother upgrading the old comp and just buy a new one if it is 4 - 5 years old.<br /><br />The budget comps at $499 is comparable and you get new features etc.  Now if only you have the option to drop Vista from it...<br /><br />

<br /><br />Welp, I just bought a laptop on the spur of the moment. The whole thing cost me $428 and will likely run rings around my desktop. <br /><br />Really, it's not the speed of the computer or any of its tech abilities. It's the fact that I've got it set up _exactly how I like it_. All the files are where there supposed to be and that always gives me a happy fuzzy feeling.

I refuse to think about a new computer if it is going to have Vista on it.  I had a PC with ME(Millenium edition) and it was a piece of garbage.
How long can you tread water. ha ha ha.
