You made me blush to read this thread. I'm glad I got to see you all again this year, and can't wait 'til GenCon 2008. You all rock!<br /><br />Gary rocks for all his selfless hours spent coaching and helping new players,<br />Kim rocks for her friendly tavern wenching, and enthusiasm (and getting me that zippered binder!)<br />Suzanne's photography skills rock,<br />Widseth rocks the world with his bard songs,<br />Dazzy's volunteer wrangling made our tavern rock,<br />Jeff rocked for letting me have way too many re-slides on the UR ? test while I was on muscle relaxants.<br />Everyone's friendly faces and great costuming made the tavern the best place to hang out in all of GenCon.<br /><br />Wow. With so much rock going on, we'll either need to order stone-to-flesh scrolls by the cartload, or open our own statuary store. (Hm... Daumes can't be out of business - I understand he recently acquired a large number of new statues of adventurer types.<br />

I'll add my voice to symphony of others saying Raven Rocks. It was great to finally get to sit down and eat lunch with you, and to see all the cool things you did to make new players feel at home, welcome back veterans, and add to the ambiance of the TD experience.

I have to throw in here with my own tale of goodnes. Many of you remember in 2005 when I caused the boards to asplode because I asked to buy a ticket, and there was much ponderence about the legality of said ticket. Not only did Raven provide my wife and I tickets, she refused to accept payment for them. Not to mention she is working on getting me a particular holy sword I have had my eye on for some time. Let me tell you how this all unfolds and expands like pond ripples. After Raven donated those tickets, my wife became a huge fan, so much that she volunteered this year and promises to do so again next year (I probably will as well, because setup just wasnt enough punishment for me). This led to inquiry by a friend of ours who went this year and had such a blast he managed to convince his wife to go, who then came back and told her friends about it and now they are considering taking a day or two to attend GenCon just to go through the True Dungeon. From one act to help one old school runner, there has sprung a fountain of players. And I figure by next year my tokens will be way more bountiful than even previous and I plan to share the wealth with those less fortunate. I am proud to run with her every single time I run, and I can say that even on drugs when she has to be carried through the wraith room she is a staple and a pure joy to run with. I wouldnt trade a Raven run for any purp in your pouch. Nuff Said.
