TOPIC: Whats for supper? . . .

Whats for supper? . . . 17 years 3 months ago #1

Any interest in sharing 'What's for supper?'
Maybe give eachother ideas what to fix for supper from reading what others are making.
Like today I'm working on a hearty meatball stew, with a bit of hot pepper bite to appease the boys for tomorrow. Well it was going to be today but two hours after I started it I was informed something was being picked up for supper.
Oh well, all the ingredients just have more time to mingle then. :)

In the morning its always the proverbial, well what am I going to fix for supper? So I thought maybe we all could share and perhaps give eachother ideas.
Any takers or should I just have the powers that be delete this?

Today was Pulled Pork in the slow-cooker.
I like meals which can be started earlier in the day (when I have time) and are ready by supper, when I'm grumpy and tired and want someone else to cook for me.

I ordered from Pappa John's Pizza. I got the Superman deepdish pizza some beacon and cheese bread sticks and a cinnomon pie. I got some left over if any one is hungry.

Tonight we had Portillo's (local fast food chain that does mainly Italian beef/Chicago-style hot dogs, although tonight I had salad and most everyone else had pasta). Kathy does most of the cooking. She made a really good mushroom stroganoff the other night. =D

last night we had meatless lasagna. It was good (shhhh don't tell I had some cheese)

Tonight I stopped at Wendy's. Spent less than 5 bucks and fed me and the 2 little ones (they are still young). I was so exhausted after working 12 hours I didn't want to cook.

tomorrow I'm doing something with chicken.

Have you tried soy cheese?
On. . . oh I can't remember what day of the week now, but anyways, I made layered chicken enchilladas. And I used cheddar flavored soy cheese and mozzerella flavored soy cheese. And let me tell you it was MMmm MMmm tasty with the spanish rice, refried beans and white corn chips.

My brothers have turned there noses up the mention of soy cheese. But not one of them suspected there was soy in their supper! There was hardly any left.

Soy is our Friend! *Smiles*

Oh and LP, for your non dairy ice cream fix may I reccommend good karma rice cream!
www.goodkarmafoods.com/

They are a dairy free, wheat/gluten free, vegan rice cream! I love the carrot cake rice cream! And the very vanilla is quite tasty with strawberry syrup. MMmm Mmmm.
