So I have the knitting row counter rings for.....wait for it...
KNITTING!
I use the Knitters Pride ones. I've had NO trouble with them, but I will say that when you first get it you need to turn the dials forward and back to get them de-burred, as they tend to catch a bit at first. After that, no problems for me (other than remembering to move it when I finish a row, but that's on ME).
In other news, my knitting hobby has paid off for TD finally, as when Jeff and I returned to HQ Monday to unload some of the "office" stuff, I handed him a box of volunteer tokens and URs and didn't make sure he had a hold of it before I let go, so we promptly dropped the whole box on the parking lot...and tokens went scattering! As we picked up tokens, I noticed a knitting row counter ring. How in the world did my ring get in there? Upon further examination, I realized it was not my ring, but likely someone's HP counter ring. We put all the contents back in the box, unloaded to the office, and then I went into hibernation until today.
Today I get an email from Dave about his HP ring. Normally I would have NO CLUE if we had something, but due to the hobby intersection above, I knew EXACTLY what he was talking about AND EXACTLY where the ring was!
All is well that ends well, friends. Dave will get his ring back, and now we know that gamers and knitters can co-exist in cross-hobby bliss whilst twirling health/rows on their rings!
Cheers for a great Gen Con everyone! The TD community is top notch!
