TOPIC: Let's Talk HAWKEYE! (SPOILERS AHEAD)

We did WandaVision and Falcon & the Winter Soldier - let's talk about the next MCU TV series on Disney+.

So who else has watched Hawkeye this week? The first two episodes were available starting Wednesday, 11/24.

Watched it and I'm loving it. So far, to me every Disney+ show has had its own unique "feel". The fight scenes reminded me just a little bit of the first time I saw Daredevil on Netflix. Kate is obviously very talented, but she certainly doesn't come across as invulnerable and they played into the fact that a lot of her opponents significantly outweigh her and her punches are much less effective.

The other thing I love is how much they keep digging into the Marvel Universe and pulling out more characters. Jack is obviously the Swordman. The internet has indicated there are some upcoming major cameos, but if I've learned anything watching these shows, it's not to believe internet rumors until they happen.

It's great so far! It looks like it might meet the high bar that WandaVision and Loki set (to me at least). I didn't even pick up on the fact that they introduced Echo until I read about it - and I didn't make the connection between Jack and Swordsman until this thread. I wonder if Jack will still have a history with Clint.

I know that I now want to see the entire Rogers musical! It's so neat that they got a legend to write up that song for them.

Yup, they changed his name from Jacques to Jack. The goofy mustache and the swords everywhere were what had me guessing it was him within 30 seconds or so of him appearing onscreen. I like that they are keeping the humor going, from the silly musical to the tracksuit mafia guys being SOO dumb, I hope they keep it going.

Hawkeye had always been the avenger who least enjoyed avenging. He just did it because it was his job and he had to. I like how over everything this show is making him, and how as the most human of the Avengers the damage has been adding up. I lost it when they went through a montage of why he has hearing loss in one ear

I've liked it so far. It's pretty grounded compared to the other series D+ has put out so it's a nice change of pace. I'd like to see a similar show with Ben Grimm if the FF movie does well.

I realize Clint is/was deaf in the comics, but it seems odd to me that someone with his connections would go with a hearing aid.

Yeah, you would think that Pepper Potts could hook him up with bionic implants or something.

Any guess on who "Uncle" is? Default goes to Kingpin.

I should probably re-watch the Netflix shows. I don't remember if I watch season 3 of Daredevil and I know I didn't finish Jessica Jones.

Seems likely. Though I could see it being Jack.

During Echo's flashback sequence the business where her father works is called "Fat Man Auto Repair". Sure seems to foreshadow Kingpin to me.
