TOPIC: RIP Stan Lee

RIP Stan Lee 5 years 5 months ago #1

Stan Lee passed away today at 95 years old. He was a true Legend, and his creations will live forever. I'm glad I had the chance to meet him in person at a convention, it was a real honor.

I think we all saw it coming, but still very sad. I saw him in the hallway at GenCon this year trying to get a picture with a cosplay couple. The couple's costumes had I think an exclamation mark and a question mark above their heads. I'm not sure what they were, but Stan was eating it up. There was no crowd around him and I wasn't 100% sure it was him until I heard him speak. I really wanted to go shake his hand, but I decided to not be that guy.

He will be missed.

Sad day, at least he got to live long enough to see the joy his creations brought to the world though. He will be missed.

The world is a little less colorful today. Goodbye, Stan...

Agreed. He helped to create some of the best memories of my childhood, and a bridge to help an awkward kid find others with similar interests.
