Ours too.

Yeah, seems that way.

Not sure if other hotels had that same issue. I hope not.

Jeff321 wrote: Yeah I did some searching and found Comfort Suites City Center for $319 as a backup. That is on the other side of Lucas Oil so hopefully the walk isn't too bad (at least to get to TD).

Just fair warning, those rooms are NOT as large as they look in the pictures. Calling them a suite is a stretch, they're maybe 10% bigger than the average hotel room. The 'second room' in them is separated by a 10" protrusion from one of the walls. I've personally slept in larger rooms at a Motel 6. If you're planning on a nice, two-bedroom arrangement like Embassy, you'll be sorely disappointed. The walk feels shady, as well. You literally go past the city steam works plant and the area just feels...desolate. The only time I've felt remotely unsafe in Indy during GenCon was walking back to that hotel late at night.

I would recommend the walk along South St to that hotel. It is an easy trip from the True Dungeon end of the ICC. I believe it is better lit as well.

So, if I'm going to complain when unhappy about a situation, it's only fair to compliment when deserved.

No, my reservation for next year was not reinstated, but I did take the time to share my disappointment with Hilton when this occurred.

At first I got another apology email, a little better worded and I considered the matter closed. A mistake was made and I just needed to move on. Today I received yet another apology email, but this one came with a certificate for one free night stay at an Embassy of my choice. It wasn't expected, or necessary, but I do consider it a good gesture and just wanted to share.

Well that is something. Nice to see some companies still know about customer service (I am looking at you ComCast).

That's pretty cool. Nice gesture on their part.
