Darn you, Algorithm, for not predicting this series of events!

Right, Mike?

And my wife caught that Black Widow was wearing an arrow shaped pendant on her necklace. So, there's a possible Hawkeye reference right there.

I would LOVE it if Aaron Stack made an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I sure hope that it isn't Aaron from the Apple Store, he doesn't seem the superhero type ;)

The Clairvoyant = Emil Zola? Thoughts?

I went to the SHIELD panel at Paleyfest, and they said there would be definite connections between AoS episodes from 4/1 and 4/8 and WINTER SOLDIER.

And I think WINTER SOLDIER was the best Marvel movie, excepting AVENGERS.

That would be very, very cool, but I'd be surprised.

'Course I was surprised about Pierce and Sitwell. I'm used to them being groovin' 70's secret agent good guys with plasma pistols, while Victoria Hand a baddie. It would be fun to turn all of it on its head.

I saw it during the movie and thought it was an interesting choice for Fury, no idea why it would be considered humorous though.

The line I was surprised no one else laughed at was when they were talking about the engines for the new carriers and Fury says something along the lines of "Stark had some ideas after he got a good look at our previous design".

Namor predates the X-Men and the FF, and his mutant status was a retcon. And given the whole Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch thing, the borderline characters appear to be on a first come, first serve basis.

Marvel clarified recently that the Namor movie rights still reside at Universal. I'm not sure how much longer Universal has to make a Namor movie before the rights transfer back to Marvel. Joe Quesada was surprised they hadn't transferred already, he (and most people) thought they had.

I thought Captain America 2 more than lived up to the hype, and I'm already looking forward to Captain America 3 :)

From my understanding when Fox acquired the FF rights everything went with them that the have dealt with in the comics. That is why the Skrulls in the Avengers had to use the Ultimate Universe name for them of Chitauri. Atlanteans are an FF primary feature so Marvel Studios can't use them.

As to Scarlett With and Quicksilver. In Cap 2 they are described by Stucker as altered humans. In the X-Men DoFP movie coming out they are being used as mutants. I'm really curious how having two quite different sets of Maximoff twins will work out for Marvel on a whole.

Some other poster mentioned about Sitwell and the last episode of AoS taking place after Cap 2. Not so. Sitwell in last week's episode states he is being diverted to the ship that Cap's team rescues from Batroc The Leaper. The last scene of last week's AoS shows Fury in the car chase at the beginning of Cap 2. That wasn't a trailer. That was shown to be happening real time withnAoS.

Our whole theatre crowd laughed at the tombstone. Tarantino is a comic book fan so I'm betting he had no qualms about Jules' favorite line being used from Pulp Fiction.

And, when Stephen Strange's name was mentioned everyone gasped/cheered/clapped/yelled at the same time. It was great because the show we went to was packed and everyone was in synch and caught nearly all the Easter eggs that were catchable in a first viewing.

Obviously, you've never seen Pulp Fiction. ;)

As to Stark being up close with the Helicarrier's engine... our theatre crowd guffawed at that, too. Crap In A Hat! It sounds like most of you had some terrible theatre goers who didn't like to react or just didn't know. That's why I love the midnight prerelease... the goers are hyped and love to respond to what happens in the movie. Plus, they are usually all die hard fanboys and catch all the surprise Easter eggs.

I missed Fury's cigar. Chewing on an anesthetic stick just wasn't the same.

Has this universe's Nick Fury taken the Infinity Formula?
