Does a Fox care to teach a Pixie how to play?

Cribbage would be a great end of the evening, relaxing in the Inn sort of game - unless you're like my mother, brother and sis-in-law in which case its a tad more competitive.

Fun game. I'd sit and play.

So one person is the GM plus 2-5 players. OOoooh, maybe I could incorporate my Dwarven Forge dungeon pieces into it... hmmm.

Actually, the 2-5 players includes the GM. But I think you could play with one more if you really wanted to. You'd have to throw in a few extra monsters.

There are a lot of updates/enhancements Kevin has found on-line, I think mostly at the website/forum for the game. They include better player and overlord reference sheets, as well as campaign rules. I think he also said someone put out a map generator, to design your own adventures using the pieces that come with the game. We played again new year's eve and had a blast. The overlord finally won a game.

Yeah, I'm already getting hooked and I haven't even played it. I downloaded a number of items from their website and started a directory. Ya know, just in case I order the copy on ebay for $55.

Cribbage is actually a game that would be appropriate in an Inn or medieval setting - it being a very old (1500's or older) British card game based on military tactics - or so I have been told. Did you know that the one-eyed Jack was the spy?

It would be lovely to be able to actually sit down for a few minutes in the Tavern as a patron for once. Maybe with my stein full of hot tea and play a hand of cards with you. Why that sounds perfectly delightful. Do you care for tea at all? I usually bring mint tea with me and honey sticks. I'll be more than happy to supply you with a cup o' tea. *smiles*

Been forever since I played any card games. I at one time knew, its either gin or gin rummy. I forget its been so long. But I use to be pretty decent at it.
My folks play a dice game called Zilch, which I am truly awful at! *little laugh* I only played once and kept getting as low a scoring roll as possible, without being able to reroll for getting nothing. While my parents would get outrageous runs of pairs and multiples of the same number. And get bonuses for all 7 die being played, and roll again.
They also like to play backgammon, which I haven't played in forever and again pretty much have forgotten how to play.

Count me in for a game of cribbage with you Suzanne. I used to play a lot! Maybe I'll bring my hand made, wood burned Nine Men's Morris game as well. A game played way back then. =)

I love tea - especially black tea with sugar, milk or cream, hot.

It's true we will be very busy, both of us, but if we could get together - make it part of our plans - I think we will not mind the rush of work and all.
