Background: I work midnights, and have had about a dozen days off since Christmas. Had a couple major let downs by people recently. Wife is starting to feel like a single mom and the kid changed his hair twice before I noticed it, and now I'll be taking a whole week away from them in another state on top of this.
I'll be showing up for Gencon sometime Tuesday, after I get out of work (which hopefully is only an 8 hour day) I'll be picking up the friend riding with me and making the 6 ish hour drive. Usually I ride, one of the main reasons being driving in a city environment (like where we'll be) stresses me the hell out. I'll be getting there about the time I hit that 24th hour awake.
So, if I get all pissy at you, I'll say I'm sorry now, and be assured it's not you or anything you did. Then...I might swear, throw something, and storm off. I shall be doing my best to NOT do this, and try to be my usual goofball self.
On a more positive note, having my pay basically doubled for the last 4-6 months has been helpful. I got a new toy...just not getting a lot of time to play with it.
