I love cosplay! I've never done it myself before this year. I'm trying to put together a Vlad from the Hack/Slash comics, but I'm stumped on a few parts so it may not happen. A buddy of mine is going as Fry from Futurama (though I still think he should go as Scott Pilgrim instead).

You should be able to pull this costume off.I'm not super firmilar but it should be Black Jeans, wife beater, trench coat, 2 butcher knives and a slightly modified gas mask.

These type of games always sound cool until I'm actually in them and find out that I outskill even the toughest apponents. The melee part sounds like Amtgard which is a boffer "larp" I use the ""s because when I play Amtgard I don't larp typically, I just beat people with foam. Sounds like it would be worth a few laughs

Thanks for the offer, but we didn't even manage to get enough tickets for all of my group that wanted to play. It will be a first time for all of us, so it should be interesting. It's pretty low risk at only $6 per ticket

They are pretty fun and some can be quite active, some can also be quite geeky LOL.

I think this is the only live-action type game any of us have played other than True Dungeon (this is my regular True Dungeon teammates fighting Zombies with us). What is a boffer type game? Is that where you smack others with foam weapons?

Mike, which session are you doing? I'm doing this with a few of my buddies as well.

We're doing Friday at 4 PM. I guess our Zombie opponents will be other gamers. Thursday and Friday are pretty full, 3 Dungeon runs on Thursday for me and one on Friday plus the Rising game. Saturday should be much more relaxed

Yep foam weapons. Loads of fun.
Amtgard should have a "booth" somewhere at gencon and should have some free play. Don't do the pay to play. Particual sore spot with me because according to the Amtgard bylaws thats not allowed but I've seen it done before at Gencon.

We're in the 3:00 PM session on Friday. So, we'll warm the game up for you.

I can definitely relate to the heavy schedule. I tried to limit the scheduled events I was going to do this year. But, once again, I've had to build a calendar to track where I'm going to be and with whom I'll be gaming.
