Im trying to help a buddy out. He is moving back to MI area. He claims their are no gaming shops in the whole state. I refuse to believe that and know for a fact that there are two that I know of. Did I mention I live in Florida and I have never been to Michigan in my life. But my geek is strong and I have gaming buddies in different area codes. Not to mention some kick butt CONs happen in and around the state. So Im hoping you guys could recommend some places. I have been told that The Boardroom game center is cool as is the Grandlan Games Center. Both stores are pretty far apart. Grand Rapids and Saginaw MI. I'm hoping there is a place somewhere in between. Thanks for any help!

Well, I'm in Midland, which is right down the road from there. There is a gaming/comic shop in town here. The Board Room is in Saginaw which isn't that far away...newer store but looking like it's the right idea. The best place I can recommend is The Red Dragon. It's in Millington, about a 45 minute drive, and is where I always get my stuff at for the past ~30 years.

Did I mention I've been playing D&D since before it was called D&D?

The local con scene takes place mostly in the Detroit Area, and they're...well...
