Last speed workout before the Disney pikermi! Started with 3 laps warmup (each lap is about 1/3 of a mile), then some strides, then we did 9 intervals of 1 lap hard (about a 10K pace) followed by a half lap recovery. Then we did a lap and a half cooldown. Good workout - a little more than 6 miles, I think. One more long run Sunday (10 miles), then the taper until the race!

Also, only $110 to go to my minimum!
Easy run today - 4 miles in 34:36, plus about 1/3 mile running around a park using the exercise equipment (crunches, push-ups, etc.).

Guess what - $35 to go!
10 miles yesterday - very hilly run! Won't need that work in Anaheim - the Disney half is really flat!

BTW - congrats to Mike Steele for breaking 5K posts! YAY!

Easy 4-mile run tonight as part of tapering for the Disney Half on Sunday. My lift-up muscle in my foot is a bit sore, but didn't seem to impact my running at all.
Yikes!

Foot feeling better today. Tmr will do only 3 or 4, and then maybe not run again until the race on Sunday!

Thanks, Kim!

Here is some information on getting texts or emails if you guys would like to see how I'm doing during the race!

Thank you for your support, and special thanks to those who donated to my Team In Training website. Between this race and the LA Marathon, we raised over $5000 to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fight cancer! Awesome!

If you would like to follow me during the race, you can register to receive emails or texts with my splits and results. Just go to the following website and register and search for me by name:

live.activeresult.com/msg/MSG-signup.tcl?event_id=30

Wish us luck tomorrow! And after the race, I will be able to say, "I'm going to Disneyland!"

Brian

Did an easy 4 or so miles yesterday. The muscle that flexes my left foot up (as if I were pointing my toes upwards) has been pretty sore, but it's feeling better. Gotta run 18 miles this Sunday, since the team is still training for the Nike Women's Marathon in San Diego in October. Haven't run that far since the LA Marathon!
