TOPIC: 2027 Volunteer & Participation Tokens

I love the volunteer tokens!

My thoughts on the participation tokens is there isn’t a theme. They don’t say anything about the setting for the year.

I really like these tokens, but definitely feel that the Tome should be a Free action, otherwise casting as a scroll becomes useless for most above HC play.

I think I can comment on theme fairly safely
The in-person participation tokens are themed to the Wardens. There are 6 tokens themed for being good against a specific cult and 1 generic warden token. Though it is noted this theme isn't as clear as I thought it was.

The VTD Participation tokens are unthemed and the feedback is noted.

Maybe an opportunity to round out the VTD ones with cult stuff?

E.g. phsyical TD completion tokens are is warden vs. cult equipment
And VTD is cult equipment?

It seems like it's half way there with the two Cult Marks.

Then maybe swap the transmutes so the Warden gear becomes the great warden coat (or charm) and the cult gear becomes the charm of Kthala?

Thanks for the feedback. We are thinking about the Participation tokens. We are going to make the Tome power be activated by a Free Action...at the cost of a lower power, however. More details soon!

For the Rare Volunteer item, if it's meant to be used with ammo for missile weapons besides Voidbane weapons, maybe it could be changed into something besides a pellet pouch? Could also the opportunity to re-flavor it into something more in line with the eldritch magics theme, like some kind of mysterious eldritch container or object that inexplicably produces the ammo when you reach inside or such.

I'd love to see the Ammo pouch use any time of ammo not just rare. With Totem of Wonder coming out so recently, I'd also caution giving the ability for wonder effects for free to URs as that may set an unfortunate precedent. I'm always a fan of the Vol tokens be a lil bit more powerful but not something that negates a legendary people had to grind out for a year to get.
