TOPIC: Ring Con Appreciation

This was my wife Isabelle's first in-person convention. She's done every VTD and virtual Patron event and LOVED in-person TD. We did circle first and she thought the animatronic dragon was an awesome start. It was cool to see things from the perspective of a first time in-person player looking at the dungeon. The NPC's and actors doing monster roles were her favorite followed by puzzles then animatronics then, lastly, the projected videos/encounters. She also thought the community was wonderful and very supportive.

Thank you again!

Fred

I would echo that running with "new" blood was a revitalizing experience. I know folks that would sarcastically say "oh look, another use of the same monsters" but then our new friends were blown away by the same thing....it was a good reminder to not get too jaded.

I drove over 14 hours to Ring Con. It was disappointing...

I joke!!!!

I had the greatest time catching up with people I have not seen in 1-2 years and some nearly 4-5 years ago. The dungeons were beyond amazing and Rybak The Dwarf Fighter finally got to do a Run with his almost-twin Dwarf Fighter. Thanks to the Coach or whoever approved having two Dwarf Fighters being allowed to adventure together. B)

I only had two dungeons scheduled but got in a third with people I knew because someone had to bail. Now I regret not volunteering full-time since I had so much time to kill. But that spare time gave me lots of socializing time. And I am quite the social butterfly!!

A HUGE thank you to everyone that was involved in making Ring Con so GREAT!!

Huge thanks to everyone who attended and everyone who helped make ring con happen. It was a chaotic blur of fun that ended far to quickly.

It was wonderful to see such a density of TD people all just hangout and gaming in one place.

I'd also llike to call out the NPCs both indungeon and just wondering around out front. It was super cool to see them being extra and just interacting with people without a 12 minute clock ticking.

Also a hat tip to the facilities, the pavilion was an amazing find of a venu with lots of great food options near by (we even had a shake and stake for that nostalgic IIndy hit)

Can't wait to see everyone again at Codex Con (or whatever it ends up getting called).

I agree with all that was said here: it was fantastic meeting new friends and old friends at the event, the venue was fantastic, the dungeons themselves were very well done, and the volunteers made the event so fantastic for everyone.

It was an awesome event with cool dungeons, fun and engaging NPCs, and a great opportunity to reconnect with other players and meet new people as well.

Attending this con was a goal made by luckily pulling a ring at my second gen con and the mad dash began.

I can say that it met if not exceeded all the expectations from the dungeons, the puzzles, the npcs, the 10 saints hunt, the free time to talk tokens, play board games and the like, with even a few trades, despite not having been put together enough (something that should fix with more time in the hobby as habits form) making new friends, putting faces to names that I'll struggle to remember but still glad to have met.

Able to thank in-person the people who've helped be part of getting me to this convention one way or another. I had more words of thanks and appreciation but then hit a mental buffering moment and forgot.

overall thank you everyone there from staff, vol, players, food+drink truck workers (whom may not see this) improv group and all, look forward to seeing most if not everyone again throughout the time of enjoying TD

Mini Rybak had a great time running with Rybak!

Mini Rybak also got a kick out of watching Rybak get into a bit of trouble in the dungeon! tee-hee.. ;)

But alas, trouble seems to find us Dwarves, especially the talkative ones

It wouldn't be a proper TD Run if Rybak The Surly Dwarf Fighter didn't annoy someone. LOL!! But he has been taming himself down greatly these past couple of years.
