There is very little practical difference between the +3 Very Lethal Crossbow and the Legendary now that the Relic gets its 3x crit on the first crit of the combat, not the first slide only.

How many monsters:
a. Survive the round where they endure a triple crit from this
b. Then get hit with one or more further 2x critical hits in later rounds, ultimately living for at least one round longer due to those later crits being 2x instead of 3x.

That's the scenario that has to unfold before the difference of having 3x on the first crit as opposed to every crit matters.

Otherwise the legendary is just +1 to hit and damage over the relic.

I also am not sure why Druids got added to the Relic and Legendary Crossbow - that doesn't seem right.

Druids and Wizards have overlapping crossbow access, e.g. the 'light' crossbows (all crossbows usable by Druids today are usable by Wizards and vice versa).

Either take Druids back off, or put Wizards on.

Of the existing 22 crossbows these are how many are usable by various classes:

Barbarian - 21
Fighters - 21
Bard - 20
Monk - 19
Paladin - 19
Ranger - 19
Rogue - 12
Druid - 8
Wizard - 8
Cleric - 2

My suggestion on the crossbows remains the same. Make the +3 crossbow 3X crit usable by all classes, and change the threat range for the legendary crossbow to 19–20.

I’d also like to see some damage bonus to undead and were-creatures. Why drop it anyway?

I’d really like to see all classes get access to the crossbow.

Bards, Clerics and Rogues need the most help on melee and missile to hit.

But melee is probably a better option since its to hit bonus is far easier to get so goggles won't help in that case either.

Any thoughts on adding a weaker version of the Mark of Enlightenment (UR level type power vs relic level type power) to support 8K orders after the transmute deadline for Ring-Con.

The name for the legendary could change to:

Artemis’ +4 Ultra Lethal Crossbow

It would be a maybe sly reference to the RA Salvador Drizz’t villain, or a reference to the Greek god.

any chance the bonus dmg to undead/were-monsters from the UR crossbow could also be included on the transmuted ones? (in addition to the 3x crit) It would be a nice thematic inclusion that would make the crossbow more exciting for non-rogues (bards/rangers/backup ranged weapon for other classes) even outside this year undead seems to come up often enough that it would be a nice occasional bonus on a legendary/relic but not game breaking.

Including it would be enough for me to craft the crossbow for my bard.

Without an expanded crit range, I think maybe +5 is the way to go. I don't think 3x crit is enough to make up for that.

My point was more that the reason Io's bow isn't +5 is because it had an expanded crit range.
