+1-3 treasure (likely just +1)
Frees up 1 charm and 3 bead slots

This doesn't seem great compared to the other mythics, nevermind the much more expensive recipe.

+4 slots is pretty sold. It really depends on how you build the rest of the character, but that's basically some combination of Stalker Focus, Focus, Celcia, Stalker Skill, Champion, BoLT, or Boaz, and a charm of your choice.

This would be true in a vacuum, but with Bibwik’s you’re already able to equip the 4 best beads. Depending on the class you’re already wearing most or all of the great UR+ options. Compare that to having almost 2 mythic tokens for the same price giving you something like +8 damage, +8 saves, and possibly mitigating a bunch of mythic mechanics. COW seems to fall behind when that’s taken into account.

Bibwiks is showing up to be a staple in a bunch of builds, but even with it I think beads are getting left behind using it. For example, lets look at this Druid build:

tdcharactercreator.com/#/character/edit/617c9444-678e-4740-8c1f-9c9d5c5eea13

To go full TE with the upcoming bead, you'll have to drop a relic It's not the end of the world as you probably drop Stalker Skill, but with just beads released today, sitting on the sidelines would be Stalker Skill, Bead of the Champion, Bead of Focus, and Bead of Celcia. You also get to pickup a charm, which can go enough different ways that I wont' bother to list them all.

Even a fighter is leaving beads on the sidelines:

tdcharactercreator.com/#/character/edit/ecb736fd-3de6-44f9-b8fb-172ea873c0b8

I think, just looking this over now, being able to add charm necklace + class neck to all the builds might be as big of a deal...

I'm coming in late to this discussion (mostly because I'm unlikely to play Mythic, and thus haven't been following the threads) but I wanted to make a couple quick comments.

First, while the recipes look very expensive, I think that they're hitting the spot Jeff had set out for them originally: They're a marathon to transmute, not a sprint. Even the CoW, with its ludicrous costs, isn't out of line with what it provides: freeing up a charm and 3 bead spots. I've seen what folks will do to get more treasure in their builds. I've seen what they'll do for Slot expanders. Here we've got something which is a slotless +1 treasure which also (effectively) grants +1 Charm and +3 bead slots ... Yeah, you can set a pretty high price tag on that. Especially since it's being set up well in advance, and people can work towards it (or not, as they see fit.)

The only other comment I have is this:

Um, can we please make that 100K Ore into something other than a "Bead" ?
It feels really weird to have all the other GP trade goods be Bars, and suddenly this is a Bead.
Beads are, by TD standards, equipable items. It feels the same as saying "Mythic Ore Charm" or something else wearable.

I'm sure anyone who ever gets their hands on one will know it's a Trade Good ... but still... can we keep the naming conventions in line with the other Trade Goods?

Thanks : )

With Gregor's being +8 and Sutr's +7 the mythic tokens are underpowered or overpriced. Making mythic tokens +10 would help solve this. But design space would leave legendary and below with a lower cap by 2 or 3 below mythic.

I wouldn’t compare cross slot for this, especially to single space slots.

At charm, the saves comparison would be lucky charm at +2 saves. We would expect a transmute progression there to be +3 at relic, and +5 at legendary. +8 for a mythic seems in line.

We see a similar progression at ioun - +2 with infernal fire prism and no existing transmute chain, but an expected path that would top out at +5.

Bead is the possible problem here, as we already have an attributes Bead at relic, and it gives *4, not +3.

What would likely be beneficial to mythic item power in general would be:

1) swap the bead and ioun powers. There are minimal damage beads, topping out at +2 with bead of Horus. Attributes iouns top out at +2 as well, leaving the same gap.

2) firmly commit to a plan that there will not be competing relic+ items in their respective slots. You get +2, or you go mythic and get +8.

You also can't compare based just on the bonuses on the token, as the three Mythic tokens also have powerful abilities that are needed to mitigate Mythic level challenges.

The details about mitigating mythic level challenges are still up in the air, though. Even without them, I think there is plenty of power in the mythic tokens, especially if the mythic bead were swapped to damage and the ioun to attributes.

Ex:
Mythic Ioun Stone of insight could be "The Sphinx Shard".
Mytic Bead of Defiance could be "The Aegis Bead" (Aegis is Zeus' shield, but I'm shooting for defense /defiance)

Really like the idea of getting rid of "Mythic" in the name. +1 to this.
