Any recommendations for non-TD events for GENCON? 11 months 2 days ago #1

Hey Everyone!

My friends and I are filling out our wish lists for GENCON! They are of course mainly filled with True Dungeon runs, on Saturday. Does anyone have any recommendations for other games we might try, especially on Wed-Fri? We might do a couple of role-playing adventures, but I'm always interested in trying fun and new stuff. :)

Does anybody know anything about Critical Putt? I'm planning on trying that with my kids. It will be an unusual GenCon because I have never had my daughters there before.

Critical putt is on my list as well - should be fun.

There are some unusual d&d events this year.

I always recommend getting into a paranoia game if you can.

8p each night, the d&d movie is being screened.
What do we want? Evidence based science! When do we want it? After peer review!

If you like escape rooms, Dark Wyvern Mining was excellent.

have you tried elevator racing?

1. go to the downtown marriot.
2. get in separate elevators - after the dealer hall closes; we want to have a full car.
3. see who gets to the top floor first. for extra fun, you can time yourself.

a friends little brother used the stairs and was waiting on us once.

I'm keeping my schedule mostly open so that I can do drop-in games and stuff. The only non-TD game on my wish list right now is an Iron Kingdoms RPG game - it's 5e and I know the setting pretty well, but haven't had anyone else run a game of it for me. I'm a forever DM, hah

The group running it has had some great escape room like events in the past. A dnd/stranger things themed one had amazing build quality and was a blast. With start times every 5 minutes I can't imagine any particularly challenging puzzles.

It's right below td on my priority list this year.
