This is the “ über Avarice “ and will require the beads to craft at Mythic I.

This doesn’t make sense. Max treasure right now is 25. Add two more beads then it’s 29! How could +20 treasure be Uber CoA then. What did I miss ?

Mythic Avarice does not include nuggets. So 20 + 6 (nuggets) + 3 (base) + 1 (player level) = 30

It gets you a net of one more treasure after transmuting the ingredients along with taking up one of your fovr stewards at that safehold level.

And freeing up 4 slots I believe (1 charm,3 bead)

The other Tier 1 mythic is a slot expander, so I don’t really care about the slots from Uber Avarice as much. And it frees up bead slots, which are already going to be freed up with a UR or relic or lower level token before 2027 anyways, so freeing up bead slots doesn’t excite me much. 10 charm slots means gaining 1 more charm slot doesn’t matter too much either. Dropping an extra $3000 or more to effectively get +1 treasure and 4 slots that weren’t that high priority feels … terrible. Like, when it was just transmute CoA and 3 beads and probably $300 in trade goods, that sounds fine, it’s having to add on building an entire 10 step safehold with all of its trade goods added in that make this feel awful. Very different from what I was expecting when Uber Avarice was announced. I really want to see Uber Avarice either removed from safeholds, instead only 1 safehold being required per party of 10 each with their own Uber Avarices, or Uber Avarice be dropped instead to like maybe Safehold III (yeah, 3, if not 4 or 5).

Thematically, it also feels weird you need 10 “safeholds”, one per party member, to craft good equipment. Like, normally one team all works together and shares one “homebase”, for more thematic justification too for 10 Uber Avarice in a party with 1 Safehold.

Where did you get the idea it was going to be that cheap? It was stated to be very expensive right off the bat, so I was thinking it would be 125k gold + 3 UR beads, + a CoA + a legendary worth of trade goods. Slotless stuff is way more expensive than slotted stuff (see auril's candle).

I guess perception on “expensive” is relative. Additionally, the CoA + 3 beads based on secondary market price (or using Omnis depending on how those end up finalizing) for a brand new player just starting in 2027 is already the “expensive” portion. For me, a “legendary” transmute is CoA, which can use less than $1000 in trade goods, I haven’t looked at the other legendary recipes, but I doubt they are $2000+ in trade goods.

Honestly, I really don’t care that Uber Avarice condenses slots. I like the extra treasure and fewer heavy tokens I have to lug around.

There's no requirement that you need Uber Avarice to play the game. If you don't care about the slots and it seems to expensive for one more pull then save your cash and just don't make it. Maybe put your money towards the Mythic Tier 2 items which will be a bump from Legendary.

I figured regardless of whether the Uber Avarice was a Legendary or a Mythic, the recipe was going to be more than I was willing to pay for 10 for my group. I'll be one of the people that is fine sticking with my Charms of Avarice and the 3 Beads for my group. :)

I agree with Mike in that I know I don’t need it to play, but if it was within reason I was considering up to 10 and now I’m considering 0. I think that is helpful feedback for Jeff to understand people’s reactions to this. I was expecting something like maybe up to 2x CoA recipe 3 on the high end of expensive per one Uber Avarice. We had no real bench mark to compare against, so no specific reason for thinking any particular amount, but that’s where my head was. I think it’s also helpful for Jeff to understand when he starts with a vague roadmap, how do different people hear that at the start.

We are in an even numbered month now. Should Safehold V - Under Construction be available to transmute on the website? Or is the odd month only transmute limit only for the Under Construction tokens going to come into play once Safehold V is available in October?

What Safehold V? I don't see a Safehold V?

But seriously, thanks AAckeret!
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I had this exact thought as well, but a fellow player typed this up and although I don’t get the “ whys “ of some parts, this is the current schedule below. ( see picture )
