TOPIC: Open gaming at Skull Con, and what are you bringing?

Open gaming at Skull Con, and what are you bringing? 1 month 1 week ago #1

So who all is going to be at open gaming. I am planning on being there.

I was thinking about bringing Tyrants of the Underdark

Might also bring a chess set, if anyone wants to challenge me to a rapid game that might be interesting as well.

So if your coming for open gaming, what are you bringing?

I’ll probably bring a couple games that play up to 5 or 6 - Lords of Waterdeep and Stockpile.

Though it might depend on how much room is in the trunk with all our transmutes and regular baggage.

A 3 hour D&D 5e 1-shot from Gooey Cube called Darktide's Night. The Deck of Perilous Fortuity, also from Gooey Cube, and possibly Terraforming Mars with 3D printed tiles.

I'll definitely be bringing Gaia Project, and probably 1-2 other games, not sure which.

Any requests? Other options would be too numerous to list, but would include Concordia, Agricola, Puerto Rico, Le Havre, and some squicker stuff like King of Tokyo, Ca$h n Gun$, Port Royal, etc.

I'll have 2 in for board gaming... or some demon slaying if someone has a copy of clocktower...

<starts holy war> @Wade - Agricola is great, but have you tried Caverna? I've found it is more forgiving. :) </>

3D TM sounds yummy.

Do we have enough for 18XX anyone?

I am in for Gaia Project. I've only demoed it at gencon a few years back and it immediately went onto my want list.

Games i was thinking of bringing:
7 Wonders (up to and including Babel expansion, but i havent played Babel)
Between Two Cities
Cash 'n Guns (base plus yakuza)
Five Tribes
Galaxy Trucker (plus some expansions...i really want to get a full 4 rounds in, every time i manage to get this to a table, the game breaks up after 2 rounds)
Kingsburg
Die Macher
Das Zepter Von Zavandor
Terraforming Mars

Time Agent (maybe...this is the best time travel game i have ever seen, but it has so much to learn just to get started, so i am mostly resigned to it staying on the shelf)
Scythe (maybe*)
Madeira (maybe*)
*i only played these once each, but i loved it enough to get it. if someone else knows them well enough to teach others, i will happily bring these

MTG - Commander decks
MTG - draft. I have sealed boxes of Strixhaven, Kamigawa Neon Dynasty, & Streets of New Capenna (plus basic lands) that i could bring if there was enough interest in drafting...oh, and Battle for Baldur's Gate should be in hand before SkullCon
this is not a signature.

Since we're flying, I'm only bringing tiny footprint games, but will include:

Point Salad
Martian Dice
Welcome To... or Ganz Schoen Clever (one of the roll'n writes)
Head's Up

I'd dearly love to play Lords of Waterdeep if someone brings it.

Thinking of running some classic Dnd modules with TD characters, probably ravenloft. In terms of games, probably looking at Eldersign, Cathulu pandemic, maybe firefly, heroquest, or house on the hill.

Ok, Kurtreznor is our 4th, with Yancey and Ralykam.

I like Caverna alot, but didn't buy because it felt similar enough. I also agree it is more forgiving.

I wish I had a whole day free with you people to play all the things you've listed and more.
