Thank you for the invite! :D I'm very encouraged by people's responses. ^_^ I'm gonna do a run with Wade but I'm definitely gonna link up with people for other modules. :)

Thanks for the info on the different levels. :) I've put in my exp for Felurian's and Bogwood already. :) I expect to hit Level 3 with Ebony Sail.

Unfortunately I think Pax West is the only physical con anywhere near me, and it's still very difficult to go. I had thought TD was closer to Washington and only recently realized that Pax is the only West Coast appearance of it. But I'll probably fill out the volunteer form sometime. I'm a little self-conscious about sending them a fullbody shot.

No need to be. They really only want that if they end up planning to use you for costumed parts. I doubt it will get a second glance if you only plan to work backstage or in coaching-style roles

I'd honestly love to be an actor in the stories, but even if I lived in the right place, the odds of getting cast are against me haha.

Bogwood Beast was not kind on Normal with Normal level gear, which is putting it mildly (how the Bogwood Beast went 3 VTs without being fixed for normal is a bit of a head scratcher), so playing Nightmare with loaner equipment would have definitely been an improvement.

In general it comes down to the group for all things TD. My advice is find a group that is looking for more and introduce yourself on the forums. Most folks are happy to have one more and will be looking to make it work. :)

Someone mentioned that the modules get progressively harder as the year goes a long, so it stands to reason that even on normal mode, the last of the year would be harder. :) Buuut I was on Normal mode with HC-NM gear so it was fine, lol.

And yeah I'm excited to play with some of the people I've been chatting with here. People seem super down to introduce newcomers and be accommodating with their playstyle. :)

I wouldn't put any credence in that.

I do not think the modules get harder as the year progresses. I have noticed that if a puzzle is too difficult a new or improved clue is given. There should be a percentage of success for everyone. Jeff is very responsive to the community and suggestions that are made in epilogue. TD wants the adventures to be challenging but fun for everyone in my opinion.

That's a cold, hard fact--not just an opinion.

I don't have enough play experience to know. I was just saying that bc of this post earlier in the thread. -shrug-

And I appreciate the info! I think I'm gonna give NM a whirl and if it's not for me or my friend I'll step back into HC. :)

My comment wasn’t directed at you 😜. More just a caution that I might repeat someone else haha

I think there's been a lot of repeating in this thread, haha, but I don't mind it. I see it more as people just reinforcing what others have said. Plus, then I get to talk to/meet more fellow players. :)

Most of this thread has been TLDR, but I appreciate how you quickly determined how valuable treasure tokens are. You should find a way to get a COA and the 3 nuggets as quickly as possible. The sooner you get them the faster they will pay themselves off! After my first run I was hooked and dropped the $250 to get a PYP. I was shooting for a weapon or something, but some tall guy with a beard (Chandler?) kept pointing at the Ring of Riches. I finally agreed on that and never regretted it.
