Having gotten sucked into the void, I'm wondering now if there's anything my party could've done to get me out of the void, instead of leaving me to be dumped at the start of the next room with only 10hp. Could they have reached into the void to try to grab me before defeating the monster? Was there something they could've done in the time between the end of that combat and the start of the next?

I know you had to turn the clock.

We turned clockwise to 8 and that is as far as we were successful.

The new scroll you had to unscramble the letters and got numbers. Eight and ten (get thine) on top; four and ten (fortune).

Solution is: Turn right to eight. Turn right to ten. Turn right to four. Turn right to ten.

you didn't have to turn right each time. We did a left right left right or right left right left both times and we're successful.

Was that on Hardcore? On NM I was on multiple groups that took damage when they tried alternating directions like that.

I've seen a few other comments related to some story fatigue, once you get to the 3rd weekend and I felt that this time myself. I typically run only once a weekend, but for 5 I did a couple more tiring to see all the content. Specifically, I ran 5a (Dalin), 5b twice (both Lenara), and 5c twice (both Lenara). My last run I was so excited to run the Dalin side, and if I had I probably would have enjoyed it more. But some very strong opinions on running the other side won out; as they had a plan and this was what fit that. I really wish there were a way to make sure everyone's opinion is heard on things like that like if Zoom had some voting buttons or a poll feature. Quieter people can get drowned out easily, when someone has already decide what the party will do. So my plan got blown up and normally I wouldn't care, like if 3-4 people were like we've never played Lenara side, I would be all for running that again. But everyone on the run had run both sides multiple times, presumably.

I also noticed that unintentional spoilers and just assumptions that everyone knows what cool is going on, among people who run many times each weekend is getting worse. There was a couple times I noticed something new and was just told oh yeah, that's this don't worry about it or just not acknowledging someone found something for the first time and was excited (secret room - trying figure it out and just told oh you eat something.)

So I know there is a balancing act on content creation, giving folks opportunities to play a dungeon, and changing things up. But I think some of the other problems are caused by fatigue for other's as well. So hoping the return of in-person will balance that out a bit. While every other weekend had left me with an appetite for more runs; this one actually left me feeling disappointed in the whole thing (a first for anything related to TD).

I was sucked into the void both times I ran V5c. The second time I tried FoP Moon Beetle with no success to stop it. I was wondering if I had applied Salve of Shadowvein as a free action with Pouch of Tulz if it would have worked?

It was on hardcore both times being a 3 and 4 person party each time.. Without a clue as to know which way to turn it I would have been disappointed if it had to one direction. To be clear I think the puzzle was fine but if you need to turn it a certain direction there should be something pointing you to do so. Having people figure that out by taking damage is a poor puzzle design imo.

A member of our party tried to throw a rope through the portal during combat and it was severed by the portal, with some of the rope going through, but just falling to the 'ground'.

I thought the rogue clue was what indicated that it had to be turned to the right each time - moving the clock hand in the direction of a clock.

Except that spinning the wheel clockwise actually means the hand is going backwards compared to normal.

I think most read the clue as "go look at the clock and stop staring at the door and the old puzzle"

I think it used the same runes, as the sign in the room with the fruit, but I didn't get any farther than that when trying to solve it.

I got sucked into the Void the one time I ran V5c, and didn't realize that it had required me to be hit by an attack twice, it seemed like at the time I had just been subjected to a no-save effect, which felt a little undeserved, especially when it seemed like I was irrevocably dead at the end of that room. Had it been made more apparent that the monster had rolled and beat my AC twice in a row, I think it would have been more clear, like "yep, the monster got me" than feel like I had been randomly deleted out of the dungeon.

Outside of that, I enjoyed V5c a lot! On both the clock and vase puzzles, I got close to solving them (got the numbers but wrong direction for clock, and figured out the dice connection for the vase but hadn't yet figured out the whole platonic solids thing in time, spent too much time on the names themselves). It was fun to see callbacks to the previous runs of the dungeon.

My party tried a few things to get me out - various cure and negate effects.

We got the impression from the DM that none of that was going to work.

I did sort of think maybe you could have gotten out with the scroll maze healing or lesser maze or something - but didn’t try it
