When I went to the site yesterday the Event page was "down", so I figured they were busy loading the events. So happy to finally have Live True Dungeon back.

FYI
Felurian's Feast Start Times
Thursday 2:00pm - 8:36pm
Friday 2:00pm - 8:36pm
Saturday 9:24am - 6:24pm

Weird Magic Start Times
Thursday 2:01pm - 8:37pm
Friday 2:01pm - 8:37pm
Saturday 9:25am - 6:25pm

I imagine those times could change based on sales and staff availability. Also, found one small typo as Felurian's Feast and Weird Magic both start at 6:48pm on Friday. Based on prior times, I suspect Weird Magic should say 6:49pm.

My volunteer schedule will keep me from running any of these :( It would a nice incentive for volunteers to hand out XP codes at the end of the weekend? :P

Can we talk about the price increase for TD? In 2019 it was $58. So it is a $10 increase. Granted we missed a year in which there likely would have been a slight increase like we usually see but I think VTD may have backfired on us. Playing $66 for VTD (though $8 was for shipping) means that we will pay $68 for the real thing. Yes I know at Gen Con it was already above that but GC was supposed to be a premium experience for the extra cost. I am truly fearful at what the cost will be when TD returns to GC in 2022. I am not worried about my ability to afford tickets, but I am worried about bringing new people into the game. The hardcore people will continue to pay, and likely to continue to buy multiple tickets to play multiple times, so I am not worried about TD pricing themselves out. I am worried having a growing community. I guess we will see how PAX West goes with $78 tickets and a relatively new TD scene.

Its harder getting volunteers and getting people to go on runs with a smaller schedule. Its a hard condensed schedule and their are increased costs for everything. I rather pay a little more and keep it going. I am sure Gameholecon didn't do super great last year as well.

I would guess it will get even harder to get volunteers if we don't grow our community. I would rather see more of increase cost be ate by token purchases than ticket costs. Just saying tickets have been increasing and token cost have been stable. It could be argued that they have decreased at Patron level because of continued extra stuff Patrons keep getting.

Didn't check yet, but I'll be buying as many TDt tickets as I can for GHC at any reasonable price.

If the $10 is keeping you away, I would imagine you could easily find sponsors for 3 treasure tokens.

That may sound shitty, but I'm being serious. Get your treasure pulls as chips, sell 3, and you're right where you were before, if not ahead.

In fact, pulls sell better than their expected return in general.

Hmm I don’t think you read what I wrote. It is not about the cost for me (yet). It is new people I am worried about. New people aren’t going to look for sponsors, they aren’t going to know if they would be getting a good deal. We need new people! If Gen Con is North of $90 in 2022 which would not surprise me how many new people are going to sign up for a 2 hour event that is almost the price of a 4 day badge? Some sure, will it equal the number of players we lose because of price increase and/or other reasons? Dunno but it has me worried because again we need new people.

I definitely misread what you wrote. Thank you for the clarification.

I like the mini-quest concept being used for GenCon Online. With the much lower price point, the shorter duration, and the disincentives for experienced players to dominate play, it seems like a nice way to introduce new players to TD. I don't know if it is transferable to physical TD as you would need to have enough ticket revenue to justify transport, dungeon floor space, set up, etc, but it seems like TD is trying to find ways to target new players.
