TOPIC: A rare pull

A rare pull 1 week 6 days ago #1

I pulled a token that would have been almost impossible on a live run. I pulled a monster bit that does not have a metal plate. It is only plastic. I don't think I could have pulled it without the plate if it had been a live run.

If you were getting pre-pulled packs of treasure then it would be possible at a live event.

Do the RFID chip tokens (currently only CoA and Skull of Cavadar) have a metal plate? I have wondered if it will be possible to pull those from the treasure box.

CoAs do not have a steel core.
Skulls of Cavadar have steel cores.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections/suggestions in this thread .

Doesn't the steel core interfere with the RFID?

It seems like they could easily be faked in the draw box and if some lucky person drew a legendary “special” or an eldritch “special” they could turn it in for the appropriate token. It might mean a new “chase” token for those into that also and could preclude steel cores in rfid chips in theory.

All that said and steel cores excluded from some chips might be part of the “defense” from spoofing and trickery of expensive chips that is going on the last few years. Color and Rfid is great, steel cores are interesting, changes between make it harder to tell a real token from a fake if you’ve only ever seen one, though from the “I’ve seen them all” perspective it could make it infinitely easier to determine.
