YES!!! :) That room is my new my all-time favorite TD (not just VTD) room.

I also agree this entire adventure is by far the best VTD yet; I loved the opportunities for different types of combat attacks to shine, thoroughly enjoyed all three puzzles, and the A/B storylines were super cool. And that moment of absolute perfection to cap it off!

I'll take an extra moment to say that for VTD in particular I *really like* having at least one puzzle that takes multiple runs to figure out, especially when the eventual solution feels very satisfying, which IMO this one did. (I understand that people who only do each run once may feel differently, and I also understand there were differing opinions about how satisfying the final solution felt -- I'm just stating my opinion which is a big thumbs up in all respects!)

Yes, my AC is lower than the Wizard's. No regrets!

Not sure what you are talking about. I freed a wizard named Jeff from the cage. Don't think too much about this, there wasn't much depth to him.

I recall running into that wizard as well. Seemed a rather 2-dimensional fellow.

Could someone pm me what the yelling moment was? I thoroughly enjoyed this dungeon and it was my favorite, but no one moment really stands out to me as mind blowing/super epic above and beyond normal TD firing on all cylinders.

double the HP.

Not sure when you played, but fights were adjusted during the weekend. I know many players would like to see everything that the monsters can do, but they also try to kill the monsters as fast as possible. There seems to be a large variance of DPS in NM especially (teams pushing NM for vs Epic players staying down to improve the experience of their NM geared party members). As a DM, I can stretch a combat if a team stomps a monster, but doing so could eat up a party's heals/damage spells, or in Room 7, lead to player deaths (particularly with AoE effects or insta-death effects). I do want every player to get to see all of a fight's nuances/videos, but I don't want to ever punish a player for doing well. Thoughts?

I heard there was an increase but I would not have known if it weren't mentioned. Sunday felt just as easy as Friday.

I do feel like I might have missed some of the monster's actions/spells/etc since I didn't play on Epic and the groups I was in mostly destroyed everything in 1-2 rounds on NM.

Honestly, I was on that run and I had no difficulty knowing when the mob was roughly dead so I could drop to using 0 level spells or ranged. I believe if you're geared and experienced enough to run at that level of play, you likely have a pretty good feel for what is and isn't overkill. Honestly, I thought it was a hell of a lot of fun. I finished both of those runs at under 5 hp left (knowingly blowing massive HP in room 7 because I knew we had won and I wanted to play with the mage powers so I can get used to them for the eventual switch to live play).

Yeah, our group usually only does one run per module. But we'd like to know all of the fun bits. Will there be a pdf module available for the VTD adventures?

+1 to this. I really enjoyed the whole dungeon but I can’t think of a ‘single moment’ of pure amazement. My first run we were all so amazed by all the extra scenery and red herrings we were blowing puzzles simply for admiring all the intricacies too much. Squirrel!!!!

Someone pmd it to me. It requires doing something my group didn't think to do, and it does sound like it'd be an awesome moment. Wish I'd thought of it, and sad I missed it. At the same time it's stuff like that which made me fall in love with TD, that there's that much depth you can access if you scratch the surface.

It is only doable in one of the two versions, Fun Easter egg if you think to mess with things. People will likely PM if you want the info

We really enjoyed the run. The DM and all the volunteers were great as always. I thought the graphics and sets were terrific, and I thought both the combats and puzzles were mostly great. We were apparently one of the very few groups to run on Hardcore, and although the first combat was pretty easy, the others were challenging. We didn't solve all the puzzles, but we felt like we knew how to solve them all and just ran out of time on a couple.

One suggestion for improvement is to let us know which is more combat and which is more puzzle when we choose between A and B paths at the start. :)
