TOPIC: Overall question

Overall question 1 month 2 weeks ago #1

Good morrow my fellow adventurers!
I completed my first ever TD yesterday. Had a fun time! Thanks again from my inner goblin to my team members that shared items to increase my treasure horde. My question is how do you create the overlay for zoom. Was it a program? I'm a high school teacher and think I could work sometime similar into my class to make it more engaging for my students. Thanks in advance! -Ranger Donovan

I believe they are using Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) as the primary tool, with a few additional tools/plugins to help them.

You can change your background on zoom itself.

I make my backgrounds/foregrounds with OBS, saved images, Paint, and a green screen. There are other ways, but that's my method.
I came here to sing and collect tokens, and I'm alllll out of money.

We used Adobe Photoshop to make static PNG overlays (with the white parts made transparent). We then bring it into OBS and add some animations to bring the template alive. I am not sure how best to do it. I'm not much of a video nerd, but that is the method I came up with out of desperation. OBS can be a little challenging, but it is free to download. Good luck!
