Saves? Double check!
Cool keyword? Hell yeah!

The ONLY thing not stellar is the crit range as a Thor user but I can't complain about the rest of the package!

Bravo Jeff, I'm making this for sure now!

Don’t fall in love just yet, it’s still early in the process. Yes, Thor’s doesn’t get a lot from the legendary. Unless we will be facing many more rooms with multiple monsters.

But as is, I’ll be making it.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Holy stats Batman!

I like the change to the shield bonus. I feel this will incentivize shield play.

I will echo others and say that the shield bonus should be relegated to melee shields to avoid people cheesing out Ranged shield. I primarily use Averons and would only like to gain the bonus by choosing to go 1 handed.

Please don’t scale down the strength. Fighters are no where near barbarians on the damage scale. This reads +3/4 DMG

If you think I said that, I didn't. What I did say was that its should clarified which shield counts if two different shields were equipped.

Reflex = melee shield AC is probably the best idea.

I think STR = shield ac is more graceful using existing rules, but I don’t have to write either the rules or the character apps, so I wont push for it if no one else v thinks it’s a good idea. :D

If you are going one handed the highest value will be in the melee offhand.

Lucky or something like it will show up in ranged, which will only typically come into play if its a ranged only fight. Will we have to calculate different Reflex saves on the party card if one off hand is empty? (Please no!)

It does't gore my ox as I am a one handed Fighter. Butt do we really want to dictate play style in this fashion?

I guess I did misinterpret. I’m more than fine with having the bonus “if” I have a shield. I just feel a lil dirty getting the bonus thematically if I am going Paul Bunyan with a 2h and have a ranged shield

It dictates play style the same way that the 2H Damage bonus dictates what the Barbarian equips, so I think it’s OK.

Regarding recalculating the ref save, this is why using +str on the shield is more elegant. That said, precedent says that ref save would not be recalculated, so you Should be able to use Giln’s in offhand melee for +7 ref, and lucky in offhand ranged to net another +1 all saves.

i want to keep STR where it is. From one neck slot item to a neck slot transmute.

I like it like it as is.

And - power creep being what it is - I hope we get another Fighter Relic (or even Legendary) one handed melee weapon that might have some nice abilities that this token can tag team with.

Thor's was never intended as a top end melee weapon - it's usable by Wizards for crying out loud.

That will complicate things. I wouldn't do it.

We already have save granting shields, and they already grant unconditional save bonuses no matter the mode they are equipped in.

Welfors would be just fine as a one handed option. If I had had the resources I'd have made both Welfors and Thors.. Some day i might have both.

Thor's offers less damage, but a decent ranged option. So you trade off melee damage potential to have a semi respectable ranged attack. So a trade off for some versatility.

Ask Fiddy and Brad Mortenson what Clerics think about the universal usefulness of Thors.

Cranston’s hat helps here for clerics quite a bit. You can add lenses of the fae to your lods and get a +2 ranged hit as a kicker. You might even hit with it casting prayer as a FA.
