Polymorph potion, damage wheel d6+2 (+3?). Trying to get something balanced for the ranger's animal friend and still ok with the druids and wizards

Amulet of Shock is +2 damage to spells, melee, and ranged.

I'd go for +3 to spells, or +2 to all (or at least include ranged...)

Or just switch it to a +2 healing amulet, since Amulet of shock is already out there from a very recent completion token.

I would think the idea here is to provide a non-completion version of Amulet of Shock, kind of like how Boots of Shocking Step provide an alternative to Boots of Inferno Step.

I would say split it in two then - both don't need to be this year. (in any case, I would prefer the +2 amulet of protection in the rare neck slot)

Amulet of Concentrated Focus: +2 spell damage and healing
Medallion of Mangling: +2 melee and ranged damage.

Why would there be a Focus necklace that is strictly better than the existing Medallion of focus without a choice? Why not instead:

Amulet of Healing:
+2 to all healing spells

Amulet of Cold:
+2 cold damage to all attacks

If we need to protect the completion token a bit, make it just +2 damage to spells.

And the +2 amulet of protection does sound nice, but it's a trade off then between glass cannon damage and survival stats.

Until last year there was a trend that at UR level, neck was the most powerful slot. At rare and under, it was very underwhelming.

In the case of neck, I’m ok with obsoleting many of the existing rares, like vigor did to oak

I'm OK making them more powerful. I guess my thought comes down to the Druid, where you really need to make a choice.

Clerics might get the occasional use of +X damage, but will really only use the healing. Wizards can only get use of the +X damage. Druids benefit from both, so should be forced to make a choice.

If you want to up the power level a bit, maybe add +1 AC to the damage focused version and +1... something to healing.

+1 keen hand axe as rare. (It's been 12 years, gives new players an enhanced crit range which is great in VTD, and the Whetstone works.)

I’m just sticking to the general existing focus chain. I’m not really a huge fan of the +everything damage tokens as that limits the design space quite a bit.

That said, an improved focus neck item should have +polymorph damage on it too. I know this really buffs the Druid, but at rare level and under, the Druid won’t have spell swapping, so is quite limited in spells.

Helm - +2 to ranged hit or damage or one for each so I have a choice.
Helm for a lot of classes for me is extremely weak

Helm of the eagle is a somewhat unavailable option - +1 AC and +1 ranged hit. I have it in my reprint list suggestions because it can be tough to track down.

Lenses of the Jinx

-5 to hit
can re-try any failed test once/room (I'd say can get the Rogue clue free, but that's probably too far)

(This is a Velma Dinkley joke)

I also want clothing to match the Scooby gang
I came here to sing and collect tokens, and I'm alllll out of money.
