TOPIC: Nightmare Nimblewits Good Day

Nightmare Nimblewits Good Day 1 month 1 week ago #1

I had one of the most fun TD experiences I've ever had this past weekend.

Since there were extra runs, I bought one out. I could only get 1 person from my playgroup interested in the run, and so we decided to do a 2 person nightmare run, and take up Nimblewit on his offer.

I was sort of expecting that Nimblewit would betray us or there would be a bit more to it than exactly what is written on the tin, but let it be know Nimblewit honored his offer.

So.... we have a level 4 Monk and a Druid with a Asher's and a Baton on Nightmare...

In Puzzle 4, which we had solved before, we made a mistake... off to a great start and now both in 1 shot range (druid healing took us up again).

In the branching path in front of 5 we took the Puzzle route, which was new. We figured out how to do it with some help from our Golem who clearly had begun to develop sentience, but ran out of time - push damage took us down to 1 shot range again.

Druid used up all healing going into room 6.

Room 6 we hadn't solved before, and got it on their first try (but had an idea from last time).

Room 7 we went the puzzle route, and had an exhilarating win with seconds left to solve it!

I doubt I'll ever beat a dungeon on a 2 person nightmare run with level 4 characters and 1 token again :P

P.S.: Nimblewit is going to need a mule and a cart to get all his loot to market.

That time doesn't ring a bell, don't think I was your golem then. Though there were some changes in our schedule at some point.

Regardless that is an awesome story.

Was that the Ogre Mage’s name, Nimblewit?

The Ogre definitely claimed to be named Nimblewit
I came here to sing and collect tokens, and I'm alllll out of money.

I didn’t hear his name, but it does seem an apt name for him.

Very cool story! Thanks for sharing.

I heard (from our DM, I believe) that someone had managed to do this, and I was curious about the details. It sounds like it was an experience you'll remember for a while :D

It was new to me - I hadn’t been in that room before. Not sure if it was different form v1a
