TOPIC: Volunteers that deserve recognition.

Volunteers that deserve recognition. 1 month 1 week ago #1

I thought I would make a thread since I couldn't find one easily (I didn't look super hard).

I would like to give a shout out to Natasha, who has been my coach multiple times through VTD. She has been very helpful and efficient for each run I have done. Her enthusiasm seems to spill over into my groups each time and I think has been a positive contributing factor to the suprising fun that VTD has been.

Thank you.

If anyone else has any other feedback to post feel free to piggy back upon this thread.

+1 to the praise for Natasha.
Andrew in Epilogue has also been great.
I have tremendous admiration for the very soggy room 1 NPC.
Hooray for the golems.
And all the DMs I had this weekend were excellent.
Thank you, thank you, to all the volunteers!

Natasha was a master of getting things going. Fantastic

And James just crushed it as DM.

And whoever the Golem was for our 3:36 run? Thank you for being so flexible! We saved the ranger!

We had a great crew this weekend, but it was weird having most of them off-site. I will find a way to call or Zoom them next time during the show. I missed seeing a lot of folks!

Last time we had our practice runs.

You could get similar sized groups to do Jackbox games or some other activity for a half hour or so the night prior to the "con."

If you want everyone together in a zoom meeting, it'd have to be a one-sided thing, like a presentation.
I came here to sing and collect tokens, and I'm alllll out of money.

Thanks for the kudos! Nothing makes me happier than when players have a fabulous time in the dungeon! :cheer: I've been a volunteer with TD for a long time now, so I hope to see more of everyone at future cons and VTD's.

Everyone was fantastic as usual but here are some memories that stand out...

The Golems (All) - You were fantastic listeners and assistants on every run.

DM - James was exceptional adding color and flavor to every situation.

NPC - Sarah brought the Nymph to life with fun reactions and facial expressions.

MVP - Matthew Galambus... all I can say is, his surprise appearance will live in infamy for many years to come! Years from now when things are back to normal, when we've all but forgotten the VTD year, we will remember it that much more vividly because of him.

OK - now I’m interested in the story and what Matt did....can’t wait until we are back in person at the Cons to hear the tale in person.

And all the Volunteers did an excellent job .... well except maybe when Laz dropped our whole Run - but Lori already promised to mete out a heavy punishment 😈 (although I got the impression She didn’t really need a reason).

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend!

I am disappointed there were not more screenshots for posterity....and I still maintain there was a combat round lost to laughter...a much more effective charm.

Who knows what Mike or Lori might have been recording?
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir
