Tickets for this newly added event will go on sale on Friday, August 7th at Noon Central for all Patron supporters, Saturday, August 8th at Noon Central for Adventurers' Guild members, and Sunday, August 9th at Noon Central for all other players.

Ticket Link: td.events/conventions/vtd1b/slots

If you used a Patron Code or AG code to purchase tickets for V1a (Gen Con) or V2b (November), then your account will automatically be able to buy tickets at the times shown above. Your account will be restricted to only the events you had entered codes. For example, if you did not enter an AG code to buy V2b tickets in November, then you won’t be able to get early access to tickets for V2a in October.

Note: At the time of this email being sent, we only have Saturday and Sunday tickets for sale for both new events. We will add Monday tickets for V1b and/or Friday tickets for V2a if demand warrants. We want the least amount of wear and tear on our volunteers and staff.

Folks who have already purchased tickets for the November V2b event, and now wish to play in October instead can "refund to credit" the November ticket(s) -- and use that credit to buy October event tickets. However, all transferred tickets must be transferred back to you before you can refund them.
V2a and V2b will feature the same "split choice" hallway where you can pick either a Combat or Puzzle for your next room. V2b will add a new "split choice" option to an existing room which allows you to either Combat or Puzzle your way out of the room.

Pick Your Class When You Buy Your Tickets

You may now immediately choose your class right after you have made your ticket purchases for V1b and V2a. You will be able to see what classes are available before you buy, but there is a very slight chance someone could claim your class between the time you make the purchase and you go back into your account to make the class selection.

Special Transmute Tokens for the V-Series

To commemorate the V-series, two special new Transmute tokens will be added to the 2021 Transmute recipes.
Figurine of Power: Reaver (Ingredients: any different 5 of the Rare Completion tokens from V-series plus any Ghost token)
Figurine of Power: Horror (Ingredients: any 5 different Uncommon Completion tokens from V-series) This token is similar to the UR Reaver token, but the damage is 6 points of Darkrift damage.

Confusion Over Treasure Enhancers in VTD

Please read this PDF for rules on how the sharing of Treasure Enhancers will work in VTD. As is the case in real TD, anyone sharing TE’s must have a valid ticket for the adventure, and they must accompany the group on the adventure. See page 2 of the PDF linked above.

Thanks for the update Jeff. I wanted to bring it to your attention that there might be a typo in the treasure enhancer pdf. It is showing that the 2016 version of CoA expired to turn in Dec 2019 instead of 2020 like tokendb and the transmute page shows making it invalid to use.

Also can there be some clarification if that CoA turn in for the RFID is a hard deadline for this December 2020 or is it being allowed to be pushed back to 2021 with the rest of the 2019 transmutes?

I hope for future V's the picking when you purchase is reconsidered. Patron and Adventure Guild already get tickets before everyone else. Them also getting to pick classes before everyone else seems excessive to me and against the spirit of being inclusive gaming community. I say this as someone that doesn't care what class I get and that is a Adventure Guild member.

I see where you are coming from - but doesn’t the current system allow everyone a better shot at getting their preference?

I want to play rogue on my Saturday afternoon run, say. I can now look through runs and find one with a rogue available.

If the people who bought tickets first didn’t pick classes at purchase time, then I would just have to join a run and see what happens.

I suppose the experience will depend on whether there are a fair amount of slots left when we get to general availability. If there are, I think I this system help people get what they want.

It very much depends on ticket availability, which we have given the preferred buyers early access to. Not just that there are tickets available but that there are tickets available in the time you are available. We got rid of class selection based upon XP and changed it over to one based upon token purchases. This does not feel like the right direction to me.

I think being able to select the class at run start is a good option.

It would be nice to have a built in messaging thread for the run on td.events, because not everyone uses the forums.

Just a place to leave public comments for the run. It could be useful for basic organizations and discussions.

To be clear I am not saying get rid of class selection option. I am only suggesting it open to everyone at the same time. If someone has selected the class and you have already bought a ticket there is nothing to stop you for exchanging that ticket for an available time, if there are tickets available.

Let's put it this way. There are 120 chances to get class X for V1a. Patron get first chance to take as many of class X as they want. Adventure Guild members then get to take as many of class X as remaining as they want. Everyone else then gets to gets to take as many remaining class X as they want.

This doesn't take your availability into play.

So much yes for this, just the ability to even post other links to say the forums or even a 'my alt classes are X' would be very helpful. Would love a way to direct communicate with other ticketholders.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven
