I doubt that is a clue to the Paton puzzle (but maybe it is). I do wonder whose actual books they were....but I am not going to wonder too much about it. I don't want to have those negative thoughts about anyone associated with TD....lol.

I've seen the 3 every time I've looked. My understanding is that it's the one that blew off the crypt door in the previous room and that the spectre that was in there last month was the one who had escaped from the crypt.

He said in the box, so I am not certain what he is referring to. The 3 on the ground for the previous room was always the same. But I am guessing he is referring to something else. We only found lightup soap in the drawers. (To be clear they were lights but one of the golems and/or dm said they were soap so we went with that).

The 3 in the picture is in the box on the right.

That is also where it was on my run.

The box is on the floor, but the 3 is in the box.

If the 3 shifted position over the course of the weekend (I honestly don't remember), I'd suspect more due to the golem not quite putting it in the same place rather than it meaning anything.

Yes, I didn't even think of the 3 being from the other room but that seems thematic and correct so unrelated to the patron puzzle. Sorry for triggering an unhelpful tangent.

To clarify my earlier statement, it was in the box under the table (using table broadly as I don't know the precise name of that piece of furniture) in the run I saw it similarly to the picture, but it would not be surprising if it had fallen out of the box as a golem was interacting with it or somebody tidying up may have dropped it in the box.

My initial thought was the friday message might be an acronym for what were making and HGL might be hitchhiking ghost log, so I checked the tokendb for ghost names other then the ones we know about, I also tried putting caxthgl into the orions belt link from last year in a bunch of permutations. No dice though.

CAXT also correspond to the new bard runes for Temperance,Courage,Friendship,Wit if your willing to rotate the X.

Just tried a cease cypher with a 3 letter shift (among others) since broken tomb, no luck.

Does anyone have a copy of breaking dawn (since it was on the shelf) to try a book code, third, first, twenty forth, twentieth word etc, maybe just the first letter of those words.

If you look at each ghost, they have a symbol on them.

...I don’t think the symbols are clearly laid out since the entirety of the font selection is meant to be a cryptographic statement. Some of the ghost symbols are missing.

...with the little sticky note “Beware of...” that surely refers to Disney’s conclusion to haunted mansion to beware of hitchhiking ghosts. I also wonder if the book cipher is from the 2020 guide
