I was really expecting to get into the 'room' early up to 20 minutes early according to the FAQ. I don't know if something on our run prevented that or that we would just get in at the start of the hour. I think that is very important for not organized groups. There was no chance to talk with my fellow players to get a feel for them. I also love pug grounds because I actually get to meet new people. I felt that was completely missing in this experience. I have nothing to remember about combat since it was just voices reporting damage. None of the voices connected to people for me. I think that will be very different when I play with my group tomorrow.

I liked the puzzles overall. Though there was a bit of cross talk that I was afraid of, it wasn't as bad as I fear with 10 people. I do think that could factor very much into who is playing.

I think the transition between rooms needs something. When waiting we would chat, but not everyone realized we were transition and so should be quiet to hear the next room (myself included).

I will have specific room feedback after the weekend. I think I will also have a different experience when I run with my group.

I would recommend having an option that when you have several images in a room that are more complex (such as the last puzzle room), to display all the images the party has seen at once. When we needed to re-check an image, it slowed the run down to a crawl and really limited how multiple players could interact. For that room, once all 10 images have been seen, have a image available to the party with all 10. If the party wants to get the motion and sound, they can look at the specific image again.
What do we want? Evidence based science! When do we want it? After peer review!

My biggest questions are

1. How do the GMS have access to the player card?

2 how did token verification go?

1. GM's don't have access the player card. Though we did provide the DM AC's.

2. It went fine.

We initially had some issues with people unmuting during combat, which held things up a bit. It got better.

Puzzles were a bit awkward with the entire group having to look at one thing at a time rather than each person being able to look at an item on their own.

We didn't do the "put your heal requests in chat: thing very well. Thats on us of course. I'm not playing cleric or druid the rest of the weekend, but I'll have some thought about how to make healing work better in chat.

Based on Lori's latest post looks like there is no time before scheduled time. I hope they can figure something out before VTD2 because I think that extra time to associate (not busy getting ready for the run) is helpful. Perhaps a full 20 minutes ahead is not needed but just a little extra time to be able to socialize will make the runs feel more natural.

This would be a great help

A standard 12 minute window sounds good

I've run the run twice now. Even going into the final puzzle with what appears to be the correct idea for solving the puzzle (gotten some correct) we were not able to finish it the second time.

Honestly I think the error damage is too high for such an ambiguous puzzle. Both of my groups chose to fail the puzzle and survive instead of attempting to continue working on it due to the extreme amount of incoming damage meaning certain death with a small number of failures.

I agree with adding screenshots for each seen thing so it's quicker to examine things.

I rather enjoyed the intro scene, love that NPC actor.

first puzzle is nicely setup, I enjoyed it's design and implementation.
second puzzle is very fun and a bit harder, night level spot for a second puzzle.

I have experienced both path options, both are well done and enjoyable.

There are some Zoom issues and some general audio issues with too much or too little sound as well as a few dialog lines that are hard to understand but in general things are rather well done.

Overall I am happy with the design and implementation.

Bump so this doesn’t get lost.

We chose to take push damage on the final puzzle as well. We actually never made any attempts after looking at all the items.

Perhaps there should be a damage cap for the room.

There may have been but we choose not to try so don’t know. I am expecting a change in that room today, we shall see.

Very interesting. My experience has been almost completely the opposite on all accounts. I felt there was too much time at the beginning. All of my groups ended up just sitting around twiddling their thumbs and shooting the breeze - which is totally fine of course. I have done a GT, pug, and coordinated run, and felt the same on all of them. Coaching took little time in any of my runs because it's simply look at TEs then ask each person for their AC. I love that part of it - that almost everyone has come prepared.

Spoiler as it concerns to showing pictures:

My runs have been smooth as butter - have experienced pretty much zero talking over, people being unsure of what to do, and people not working together. I felt the puzzle damage for nightmare at least (haven't run anything else so can't speak to those) was very appropriate. All of my groups were at least slightly worried about the failure damage, and that's how I like it. If the damage is going to be inconsequential, then what's the point?
