Or to find out that the only runs that could fit a hypothetical volunteer schedule are sold out before i know my vol schedule.

Based on the schedules, I don't think there's any runs that will work around a volunteer shift.

As another potential volunteer who doesn't know for sure yet, I'm in the same boat. Now that I've seen at least one other person, I've gone ahead and bought out the Sunday 5:36 runs for both events, and will hold them in reserve for volunteers-who-don't-get-chosen. If there's not enough interest, I'll return them. If there is interest but I do end up volunteering, I'll still organize the run and pass off the tickets to those who want them.

Well, I got notice last night that I was “waitlisted”. This is very disappointing after 8 consecutive years of volunteering, often multiple Cons per year. But it does mean I don’t have to worry about arranging runs. :( :(

I know these are exceptional circumstances, but volunteers not being able to run is sad.

Got same notification last night myself, this would've been year 8 for volunteering. I get they only need a few folks but hurts nonetheless. Just short notice makes it hard to have set alternate plans of groups to run with that weekend.

Good luck to those that will vol and those that play.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

I had one our Team Synergy Patrons grab the last or next to last runs of the night figuring if I got the coach or trainer role, I could still run as usually works at GHC. So I am at least set to run

We bought out group's tickets as well with the volunteer status pending with a similar follow up strategy :)

I am thoroughly depressed. I don't have nearly the tech level or knowledge required. My desktop has neither microphone or camera, and my phone will not handle apps or anything.
I really feel like tech has passed me by and I don't belong anymore.
The bummer is, even if I had the funds to totally update my systems, with Covid, no one can set it up for me. My current system was set up by a computer programmer friend, who now lives in Seattle.
I hope we get to physical TD soon, I hate missing out on the experience and the goodies.
Maybe I will have to order some tokens and dream.

Guys - I'm new with Zoom. Anyone have experience that can answer some questions in PM? (hosting and/or dialing in)

@Jeff - any thoughts to a "test Zoom on your system" day? Imposition I'm sure, but that might alleviate some concerns.
