Actual singing is never required. Whatever the bard wishes to do is allowable, even just say "I'm doing bardsong"

Yes, I am perfectly aware of that. If you have ever been in the training room room when I am running it you would know that.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Ok, let's just assume they'll need to let the DM know

In fairness, there are still some DMs who get that wrong.

Yes, but that problem definitely won't be solved in coaching

I know VTD is scheduling runs through tdevents.com, not through Gen Con. Does this mean the relationship between TD and GC is changing somehow, or is this just more convenient this way for this situation?

It looks like they're running it outside the gencon umbrella and that's lowering the costs to put it on. I'd assume next year will be back to status as usual

I sincerely hope we are back there next August.

One of our group wants to do a back to back run. Is that feasible?

Hope so, didn't even occur to me that it wouldn't. With the fast ticket sales only way i could really play more than once was to do back to back on Fri.

Basically fingers crossed for a full 2.0 FAQ at this point.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

Jeff earlier said there were 12 minutes for coaching and 12 for training. So, maybe the runs really only last 1:48. Not sure about epilogue time though. But since it appears we will be submitting builds in advance with verification focused on CoA, maybe it will work.

And hey, (blatant commercial message) there is room in a Sunday afternoon Team Synergy run. :)
