Just as a heads up Crystal Caste has posted up the convention dice sets for 2020 origins and gencon on their website. They have the options for full sets in the tins or just the D6. I hadnt seen it mentioned here yet but I remembered there were a fair few of us waiting for them to go live for purchase.

Crystal Caste has their site up and available to take orders. Gen Con 2020 dice are $2 each, commemorative tin sets, $15. Shipping is steep at $10 per order. Our group pooled our orders to make it economical as it is a flat shipping price. Here is a link.

I used to love getting the six sided GENCON dice every year when sides 1-5 were normal and 6 was replaced with GENCON and the year. They became a lot less useful to me once they also replaced the one with their logo. It made it a lot harder to figure out if you rolled a one or 6.

You'd think on one of those sides they could have found a way to still have the single dot for the one.

The change prevents the die from being useful. I prefer dice that have the symbol instead of the 6 pips/side to keep them all consistent which limits other free dice except for those from Flying Buffalo if they still give them out.

Edwin, I agree, the change keeps them from being useful dice (to me at least) and they're now just keepsakes.

Agree. Got mine today. Silly of them to make thier own product unusable.

For those interested Norse Foundry is also doing Gen Con dice and their dice are actually usable.
