As for risking others lives...have you been to Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, sams club Walmart or target. Those people have not been listening so everyone they come in contact with is just as likely. I will take my chances at a con

I have small children, so Absolutely not on Home Depot and Lowe’s. One person from the house leaves every 2-3 weeks for grocery shopping. We have t had to do target yet, but paper goods will need to be acquired within the next several weeks.

The small children bit is extremely important. At some point, we will be forced back to work in person, and that in turn will mean the kids will have to go to daycare. 4 and under can’t conceptualize social distancing, so they need to not be exposed. I refuse to be the parent that gives their kids covid from going to a con / Home Depot, etc, that then goes to daycare and transmits it to all the other kids there. When those kids take it home That can (and for some people will) be how a parent / grandparent dies of covid.

And in reality it could for any thing flu. Con crud.

I
Am
Not going to
Respond anymore. If anyone wants to take this to PMs I will be glad to talk there.

Covid is turning into religion/politics and sports ball teams. Nobody is right and everyone will argue for their side.

Chad, I agree completely with your first sentence. Whether it's gaming conventions or any other sort of social gathering, everyone needs to make up their own minds as to whether or not they want to attend. Different people have different factors and priorities to weigh.

Can we just have the Mods delete any COVID-19 reference in these forums??

It's getting ridiculous now.

Yea, yea, yea...it's a contagious virus and certain people are dying from it. You can just post or not post if you're going to a specific Con. We don't need to know why and you don't have to defend your position.

Me? I'm going to GenCon if it's held. That's all you need to know.

Cosplay was what it was called, con attendance social distancing wear will be what it is called in the future.

I suspect everyone has made their position clear by this point. That’s never stopped us from continuing to argue about other topics in the past.

As for me, the sensible side of my brain says don’t go. Is it still possible I would? Yes it is.
